  • I starting doing TRX after 45 days of insanity and I can say that taking a class to get the versatility and variety of movements. It's a great full body workout when the teacher is proficient in it. Youtube TRX with Kai and see how hard it can get.
  • I also do a TRX class at the Y and we do the beginning class which is about 30 second reps on (generally 5 excercise at a time. We then come off and do about a minute of cardio. With my heart rate monitor I consistently burn 600 calories every workout.

  • This is late but I use a HRM and my 60 minutes class at the YMCA consistently burns 600 calories even when the cardio is just running in place. Hope that helps.
  • Good imrovement! It's amazing what our bodies can improve and grow with effort over a two week period. Amazes me!
  • Torture Yoga! LOL Well put. Just breathe through each one take a break when needed and then go back to it...As time goes on you'll get stronger.
  • Hey be encouraged Im I'm week three and I'm still trying to finish Pure Cardio. I am great through the first 30 minutes way better than first day doing it but I'm still struggle through the last sequence with the jumps in outs! Push yourself to your Maximum and each day you'll see improvements I promise.
  • Got to take before and after pics to get that free Insanity T-Shirt! Read the paper if you and the want it because it want's pictures of you and the products in the box etc. I'm earning that shirt so I will have all the required pics LOL
  • Lara, you may be like me. I don't show it neccesarily on the scale because I build muscle quickly. So my weight may even go up at times. My most reliable date has always been the measuring tape and the DH. I think you look great and the belly will line up soon enough....I was able to listen to the cardio plyometrics…

  • Insanity calculator tells you to eat the calories based on the fact your are doing insanity. So if you are at 1900 thats what you need to do to lose the weight you plugged in. The online calculator at team beach body may be easier to use. With that you dont eat calories back you just eat what it tell you too in addition to…
  • I completely agree with Adam. The bulk of your calories and carbs should occur in the morning. Shaun T was on doctor oz and showed the way to balance out your protein, carb, fat and thoughout the day and he is admomate that dinner should be mostly veggies and protein while carbs should be loaded in the AM.…
  • I think the Cardio Recovery was just that. I didn't feel like I worked that hard either but I did enjoy it and still ended up in a puddle of sweat. Here here to day 5!
  • If this taste as good as you say you have truly made me one happy woman! I loved these cookies but they are filled with hydrogenated oil, fat, and taste good feel bad stuff. How many calories does this come out to?
  • Angie the first week I only did INSANITY as I didn't know what to expect but today my DH went out and bought a family gym membership sooo....I may incorporate something else to increase flexibility. With the membership you get a personal traininer. Now I have two Shaun T and Tiffany.
  • I use this website for an estimate and plug it in as a DVD http://www.mapmyrun.com/tools/calculators

  • Um...off topic. They have cake batter?
  • Right now I am using the GNC Pro Performance Whey Powder in Strawberry Banana. It's fairly easy to mix and gives you 20g of protein. It doesn't have hardly any other vitamins like Spirtuein meal replacement so you have to take it with a multivitamin. I do plan on ordering Shakeology as soon as I can because like many…

  • As a mom of three think you are doing all the right things. Maybe you just to modify how you are doing them. If you are on hormone based birth control of any kind that will definitely hinder your ability to see that flat tummy. Also, how much protein are you taking in a day. I found that cuttin calories while working out…
  • I'd like to join in I am also on day 4 today....I just joined this group today! Feel free to send a friend request or accept mine :)
  • How are you calculating your BMR because if you are working out 6 days a week there is no way you should only be eating 1200 a day. I was eating that when I was doing nothing (sendentary lifestyle). I am 5foot9 and now that I am working out 6 days a week doing insanity I have to eat a minumum of 1620 a day. I use the…
  • Angie- It was tough toward the end. Your heart rate is up fast. i transitioned from doing another workout so I was already plenty sore when I started. My advice is drink a protein shake 1/2 hour before and plenty of water the day before and of. Then drink another shake the meal following your workout for faster muscle…
  • I started yesterday, you can add me. I feel invigorated to say the least. :flowerforyou:
  • Excellent advice. I was having a difficult time meeting my calorie goal and added just one servince of peanut butter on whole grain multigrain bread and that enabled me to boost my protein and my calories needed to excercise. I also doubled up on my protein shakes mixed with low fat milk and after working out and meeting…
  • I am so glad Angel and others are posting honestly...My fittest showed numbers for jacks kicks and knees but as soon as we hit arms I couldn't get into double digits....but I mostly dance and there is very little arm work involved in my genre outside of ribbons, flags and props :) Still gonna get er done though! Form is…
  • Today is my fit test day. How did it go for you?
  • As a mother of three I can tell you your results postpartum are generally all over the charts....especially if you are nursing or on a form of BC. But press through....your body will release more water some weeks than others and you will go through an adjustment phase completely unrelated to your working out. I promise you…
  • I agree it also depends on where you carry the weight that you are. A year ago I was 179 and I felt fabulous. Today I am 185 and even thought I can wear most of the same clothes I feel "bloated" all the time. I have been 165 and told I look really good at that weight but I want to see what 155 looks like and I'll go from…
  • Argh, okay now I have to go back to buying rolled oats ;D I just started liking the steel cut but the recipe of yogurt and cereal cups Yum!!!!!
  • This is such a tough truth to learn. Eight years ago when I got married I started lifting weights I actually put on 5 lbs before I ever saw weight go the other direction on the scale BUT I could count on my measuring tape. Those inches were getting smaller and smaller. So I posted a blog out there somewhere I'm only…
  • I think it will adjust daily as you log in your excercise. Currently my recommended is 1200 a day. When I actually log in my excercise it tells me how many more calories I have earned that day. So, you are on track that number is too low but it considers the amount you must take in daily if you forget to excercise to…
