So HRT doesn't make gain weight!!! Great News! What about the risk of having cancer? The resistance training for menopause sounds interesting. Are there videos in Youtube you can perhaps recommend me.

I am 43 and I am post-menopausal since 1 year!! I am not on HRT and I am looking around for alternatives. I am gaining weight, swinging moods, and all the symptoms. I heard about bioidentical hormones... but they don't have it here in Switzerland yet. Does the HRT helps?

I drink my smoothie in the morning (7:00 am) and I feel full untill lunch time. If I have bread or oats instead I get hungry by 10:00 am, so I need to crunch on a handfull of Almonds. How I make my smoothie to keep me full all morning: 180 g plain yoghurt 1 Banana 1 kiwi & 1 peach or strawberries or any other fruit you…

For 2 decades, I had been on starvation mode, eating 1200 cal or less a day. I joined MFP last year around October when I was 62 kg. In January, I was advised to eat more (1600 cal). I did and I gained 3 kg. I am not happy about it but I wasn’t exercising much neither, because I injured my neck and needed to recover for 2…

I haven't tried it yet! Where do you buy it?

Very interesting discussions!! Well I just bought my whey protein today!! I was just waiting to go to a bigger migros convinced that the local one do not have... but it had!!!
-
Thanks for the explanation! Since I have started strengh training last week, I have noticed I get so hungry that I have started eating pasta. I was able to avoid wheat for about two weeks without any problem. I will check if the Whey protein will help and I will let you know! I am skeptical as well about any marketed…

I am so interested to learn more about it!!! I was just advised by many of my MFPs that I should take whey protein as I have started strength training and I have trouble to get enough protein from food! I am not for any supplements when I can get it from balanced food! But my question is how much protein is recommended per…

Thanks for the info! I will check next time I go to the Emmen-Center. I do not live far. I want to use it for smoothies as well.

Well done! That is a great determination! My father-in-law went with his bike from Luzern to Glarus - 101km without any prior training! He came back two days later but as he was so tired and in pain, he came by train halfway! He is stong and fit for his age (66).

Yes we have! I will check this week! Thanks for the tip!

I reduced eating all wheat product since last Monday, and I feel great!! But this morning I just didn't know what to eat and end up eating wholewheat bread! Eating no wheat is not that difficult after all ... except for Breakfast! Any idea

I feel so unconfortable as well when someone notice my weight loss. I like comments like you look trimmed, you look good from closed friends or family but nothing more in details like your butts look smaller or whatever.

You were in a meeting, in a different country and you enjoyed the delicious Turkish food! That is life! I do enjoy life sometimes as well when I am on holidays or I am invited! I just show my appreciation by eating well! But I have been doing very well since we talked about wheat Belly. I just had a little piece of flat…

Thanks! I will check next time I go to town. The migros we have here is a small one! I have checked the product online, so I know what to look for. I am looking forward to try it to increase my protein intake.

Migros! It is interesting! Which section should I look! What is neutral isolate protein? I am really new to this! I am very interested to get the recipe as well! Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I did a second day without bread, porridge or any carbs! Finally, it is not that hard! I am proud of myself. I am very disciplined person and eat quiet a balanced, homemade food! Hardly any junk! Why I gained weight is not becausse I eat a lot, but the opposite (I always ate fewer than 1200 cal a day) and…

I love so much my porridge & muesli... and my pasta :) I don't think I will be able to stop it for ever but I will strict myself to have it once a week. I think to do it gradually will help! Hey by the way, where do you find whey protein in CH. I would like to give it a try. Have a smoothie in the morning as well to start…

Ok! I have got it! I will try to reduce at much as possible wheat in my diet. Good exemple today, I ate for lunch green beans with chickpeas! Dinner mixed green salad with mushroom, mais, sprout, sunflower seeds - dressing oil, vinegar, yoghurt cheese and half slice of the protein bread!!! Actually it is full of seeds and…

I just don't understand why some posts get 8 pages of replies while some none!

I am going shopping this afternoon in migros, and will look out for the protein bread! Thanks for the tip! Bread.... is it only wheat bread which is the enemy or all breads! I am really thinking of reducing wheat product!
-
Thanks for your reply! I am really interested to try out this but was wondering what to eat for breakfast as I usually eat Muesli, porridge, wholewheat bread with butter & jam, or egg. What is your typical breakfast, lunch and dinner like? Do you have to eat loads of meat? Or protein? A lady I know lost a lot of kilos in a…

Thanks for inviting me to this group! I have been living in Switzerland since 13 years (Geneva and now Luzern). I find your post about the "Wheat Belly" interesting! Is it only wheat which has to be excluded in the diet while it is allowed to eat other grains? Since I have joined MFP, I have added a lot of items in the DB.…

It looks like you are on the right truck... keep on doing the great job for the next 4 months.

I advice you to read this http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/963088-level-obstacles-lose-weight-target-fat-easy If you exercice and you don't eat enough you will not lose weight, or you lose weight and you gain it back soon. Good luck!

I live in the safest town in the world! (Central Switzerland). I have lived in many dangerous countries before where I never felt safe even in my house. Saying that, a dead body of a young girl was found yesterday in the lake not far from where I live :( I go running sometimes in the wood alone. I take with me my phone in…

Hello Rachlat! Do you eat your gained calories? I would say, for the amount of calories you burn every day, you should eat more than 1300 cal a day. Have you done your TDEE? You will find a thread on MFP called road map which will explain to you how to do it. I have done it? And since, I have increased gradually my cal…
