Hey guys, I did not do so good today. Someone brought in munchkins, and I ate about eight of them....I guess I felt I had to rhyme...Oh how to avoid the food.

I'm in, but I am worried about not losing weight. I have been struggling with more than just food cravings. I have hypothyroidism, and it seems to have manifested itself into some pretty strange behavior that I am trying to get under control. I have been binge eating which I have never done in my life before being…

Hi, I am not a thyroid cancer survivor, but...I do have hypothyroidism and it is causing me to gain weight very fast, and it is very hard to get it off. I understand what you are going through. Congrats on being a survivor.

Thanks to all who answered. I will try the suggestions and see what happens..

yeah, notice I left out the fact that it was a blonde  joke. I didn't want to offend, but, I am a blonde too.

I am from New Hampshire, and as far as the rude comment, I think that New Englanders are less trusting of outsiders. When I first moved up here, I didn't have the accent that others did so I stood out as a new comer. It wasn't until I started to have an accent that I was treated like everybody else. I never felt like…

I have always had issues with food. I have always had a weight problem, but since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I have noticed a new trend. I am binge eating. I have never done that in my life. I just eat and eat and eat till I am sick and it is coming out of my ears. It makes me want to cry but I can't seem to…

although you can't take back what you've already eaten, you can eat healthy the rest of the day. The one mistake that most people, (Including me) make is they figure they already blew it by eating too much for breakfast, might as well blow the rest of the day. That is a huge mistake though, because then you are adding more…

Yes, I know how to crochet, I just don't know the steps to create granny squares and wanted to make a blanket for my grandson.

My understanding is that when you exercise, it gets the blood flowing, and when you have a headache, there is tension which is causing the headache in your head. Exercising usually makes the headache worse because even though the blood is flowing faster, the tension is still there and then the blood is trying to force its…

Hi, I notice your military uniform in the picture, what branch are you? My daughter just went to boot camp in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, for the Army. I wish I had your weight.:ohwell:
-
\ Hey if you come up with what's causing it, post it if you don't mind, maybe I could benefit from it too. I too have hypothyroidism, and maybe more than the thyroid is causing the hair loss...you never know.
-
I found a solution to that, but I don't think its weight loss approved... I add more cereal until the milk is gone...bad habit huh? I love my cereal, especially my magic stars.

Perk my upper, sounds like fun...LMAO, And to answer you rquestion, "No, I can't hear and refuse to try" I feel like I'm in a coffee can and every sound just bounces around inside my head. :frown: No, your sis....

I read others mentioned that a dysfunctional thyroid gland can result in hair loss, but I would see if you have any of the other symptoms associated with hypothyroidism, or hyperthyroidism. I posted a message about it a week or so ago. I have gradually lost my hair, among other things. If you are showing other symptoms, I…

others will welcome you, or you can say hi to them when they introduce themselves....

If I were to go back to my food diary a few days ago, when I first started, I went way over. I think the idea behind this is to learn something from it. Don;t beat yourself up. Just dust yourself off and head off for another day. at least we always get more chances to succeed.

welcome aboard, I actually just stumbled onto it myself. I have found it to be a great support for many things.

I quit over ten years ago, it is hard but with strong determination you can do it. And, if you do happen to gain a little weight, ti will still be worth it if you are successful with quitting smoking. You can always step up the dieting and exercising to deal with the weight, but the consequences of smoking are more…

You are an inspiration for us all. Enjoy the feelings you have earned them.

can anyone tell me if massive nonstop headaches and pressue in the head is a symptom of hypothyroidism?
-
thanks for that info, I am so unhappy right now and hearing support helps me cope. I am so afraid that things won't change and I won't feel like me again. I have been taking 50mcg of thyroxine for nine days now. I keep waiting to feel a difference but none yet.

Here you go, there are food recipes, but I am also putting other stuff there too. I am pretty sick right now so I probably won't get new recipes in until near the end of the week, but let me know if there is a particular food you like, I have recipies that are low cal like you wouldn't believe.…

Unfortunately for me, when my blood was tested for hypothyroidism, they also found I have a vitamin d deficiency. And....I also have eustachian tube dysfunction. Between the three of these I am just hating life right now. I have learned alot from these discussions though. I went back to see what my numbers were, and mine…

Its funny that you mention that women with hypothyroidism may be diagnosed with hypoglycemia. I have had that for years but just found out about the hypothyroidism.
