I run first thing in the morning. Boiled eggs or pbj sandwich with fruit work for me. Sometimes i take a chicken breast if i have one cooked. I can't stomach protein shakes but some people love them.

Workout in the morning but it usually kills my appetite. I make myself have eggs and whole grain toast or the toast w/ nut butter and a green smoothie. Light but nutritious. What will " undo" your workout is not eating and screwing up your metabolism.

No but we do have a strong whole foods policy at home. Snacks are popcorn, fruit, veg, 1/2 sandwich, etc. cake, candy, etc are for a birthday, holiday, party, etc. I hope to teach them good choices not calorie counting.
