Okay, so I missed the weekend, was just an especially busy one for me, but I did 50 yesterday. I would've liked to do 75 to make up for all the weekend, but hey, at least I found out I can do 50 without killing my glutes, so I also did 50 today, too. Hopefully I can keep doing the 50 before my cardio. :) And maybe at some…

Hi! Sorry, I'd say just do it! Log up your squats. :) And yeah, you guys can do any kind you want, this wasn't meant to be super strict in any way. I'm just interested in people joining on and us showing or talking about results to encourage others.

The problem is that holistic medicine is, on the one hand, a bit of rubbish, and the other hand, a lot of it good medicine. Most of the people here are very content to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Not all of the things you're learning are necessarily going to be applicable to you, or even based on evidence. For…

Everyone's telling you to fit into your calories, but I disagree. There are a lot of good zero calorie options, and you should make an effort to get rid of it. Refined sugar is the cause of a LOT of excess weight for people. You CAN try to fit it in short term, but strongly encourage you to stop telling yourself you can't…

Being significantly overweight can have some pretty big long term consequences, especially some of it pregnancy. But it's really nothing to keep hurting yourself over. It is in the past and there's nothing you can do to change that. Focus is where you tend to end up going in life, so try to not focus on feeling fat, even…

Had to make everything a contest in the bedroom, too. LOL.

YES, me. Although in my case it was pretty obvious, for.. you know, reasons that are kind of gross. It's a horrible thing to struggle with. I absolutely agree with aliwms, oregano oil helped a ton. If it's topical for you, you can use the oregano oil topically; just dilute it first with a carrier oil or lotion. Lots of…

I've been following a largely plant-based diet and am feeling better all the time. About 3 months in now. I still eat a little dairy, but giving up 95% of the meat I was eating has been one of the best things I've done. I still have a sardine or a piece of salmon, or an egg from chickens on an omega-3 rich diet, from time…

I'd say it really depends on the calorie density of what you eat "intuitively". If you eat a lot of fruits and veggies, minimize fat, meat, cheese, non-complex carbs, you can probably lose a kg. For higher weight loss, sadly you're just going to have to meal plan.

We need to stop the cellulite shame. Cellulite, like breasts, full hips, thighs, and rear, are a secondary sexual characteristic of women. IT IS NOT A FLAW. It is a feature of being female. You can look it up. Our culture is messed up. Even women with relatively low BMI's usually have cellulite, because it is HOW WOMEN'S…

I'd actually think the dry wine is better if you're looking for a dinner beverage. It's got antioxidants and all the more well published health benefits of wine. Careful of over-indulgence, though. I know a few alcoholics whose wine with dinner habit just became a wine habit, and then a booze habit... etc. I don't drink…

In this order: Intelligence Guys that look like GUYS. Can be a beard, can be physical strength or body hair. Just anything especially masculine. Smelling good Silver foxes (handsome middle aged guys if you're not familiar with the term, opposite of "cougar")

I disagree. If your only goal is to lose pounds, then sure, it's almost all dietary, unless you exercise for long periods of time, all the time. But if you want to lose FAT, then she's very wrong. The exercise will keep you toned, raise your muscle mass, and keep you more lean. If you're 20% body fat and 150 lbs, then you…

That's both amazing and sad at the same time! This is why doctors should be trained SO MUCH MORE in nutrition than they currently are. Your normal, conventional doctors are always SO behind in terms of diets that can help so many medical conditions. Prevention and reversal should be taught as a mainstay, instead of "care"!…

Look into YouTube about subconscious reprogramming! There is often a lot of spiritual stuff tied into these techniques, but you can find ones that aren't all about that. The point is a lot of things in your mind were put there and you can get rid of them! Your bad thoughts and feelings, your bad habits, including…

This post made me smile! Especially that cute pupper with his tennis ball. Thinking about my boyfriend and the night before made me smile. Watermelon-strawberry salad breakfast made me smile. I'm sure I could go on, but hey. :)

Try Yves meatless crumbles, too. While it's a bit complicated for what most consider a snack, 1/3 cup of yves meat crumbles and a cup of chopped broccoli is 90 calories. You can season it various ways, or can add a low fat cheese slice for a 150 snack. The crumbles work great with most vegetables, really, just gotta take…

Don't listen to this. Small weights do add a significant burn if you're doing a lot of movement. I thought this would be the case, too, but unless you want arms you can do nothing with later, stick with lighter ones and work your way up. There's a reason they sell so many of these small weights, and it's because if you're…

Unless you're tipping the scales over into "supersize"- as in well over 300 lbs- and I can tell from your picture that you aren't, then you're just using your weight as a scapegoat. I would say you need to look for guys in different places than you have been. If you meet nothing but shallow, egotistical men, one of two…

It is amazing how weight loss of that extreme that makes you look ten years younger. I can't wait until I'm down there, rolled back to... hopefully 22 by the time I finish. LOL

Yes. But frankly, it's just so MUCH less effort to do an hour of cardio a day, than to constantly stress about whether or not a serving of cookies is going to undo a week's worth of dieting. SERIOUSLY.

Kashi GoLean Original I make myself eat it, though, because it keeps me full forever. For some reason, the stuff keeps me from going binge mode. I guess it has a next to perfect protein and fiber ratio, because I can't find another cereal that's even palatable that does the same thing. Like there is no other cereal that…

This isn't entirely true. While it is true that protein won't help you lose weight as a universal rule, if you don't get enough protein in your diet, it could lead to food cravings. And the food cravings could make you overeat. (This used to describe me.) So... if you have that problem, protein powder could help. Protein…

It can be, if you learn to do it right. You'll probably need to take a basic swimming class on various swimming strokes. Some are very challenging. The doggy paddle, probably isn't one of them, though. Basis of judgment: Took life guarding courses during my youth. I was always an incredibly strong swimmer and I think the…

Nah, it's not my shoes, because if I am warmed up, and FEEL warmed up, I can do those jump rope "warmups" on the Shed and Shred video, twice as high, and it doesn't hurt at all. Whereas if I just start out, having been doing nothing, and start bouncing even a little, it hurts like a ***** afterward.

This is the best post! I never thought about doing this, but you're right. You know what? I love being outside and doing things like this.. or I used to when I didn't live in the city. I actually don't pant climbing stairs anymore, but I did at my heaviest and least fit. Not hard, just a little, but man, that was annoying.…

You do not seem to have any concept of what depression is. Have a nice day.
-
I know you meant well, and I usually feel that way too, but this is really not the kind of thing that is going to help ANYONE who's being stricken by seasonal affective disorder. It's a form of depression. And depression makes you want to do nothing at all. Like everything is pointless. Sorry, if this was all I needed, I…

Oh, and, I haven't gained from this, thankfully. I guess because I have been eating junk in lieu of other food.
