  • I have a cup of milk every night about 10ish. I can't go to bed hungry, I don't feel good in AM. I love my evening glass of milk :)
  • I toast an English muffin, then place 3 thin slices of Boars Head deli ham on a plate, folded in half of a paper towel. I micro the ham slices on high for 1min or 1min 15sec just till the edges curl and start to brown. Then place on the EMuffin and top with a slice of cheese. I don't like eggs, and its time consuming to…
  • I thought I always had to have cold or ice water. I've learned that I can gulp room temp water much more easily. I save ice water for meals now and gulp room temp rest of the day. I drink 64+ oz water every day.
  • I'm from NC, I know sweet tea! What I did to get off of it: I started making it unsweet, half gallon at time. I make a deal with myself everyday, after I drink 64+oz water, I can then have tea for the rest of the day, but it has to be unsweet or made with raw stevia. I like it unsweet w/lemon, orange or lime slices now.…
  • For a short term "correction" Mirolax powder works wonders. I stir in a capful with unsweet iced tea and drink that cup at dinner. I like to mix it up in the AM, then its totally invisible when I stir it up and drink it down.
  • I would get some cheese sticks, I love Sargento string cheese. If you have a freezer, you could have a small bag of frozen blueberries to stir into some yogurt before you go to bed, then they will thaw overnight and just stir it up and maybe add some really good granola. I like to have some good quality sliced deli turkey…
  • I don't do shakes. I use Pure Protein unflavored whey powder. I can stir it into yogurt, applesauce, puddings and its totally undetectable. I only use 1-2scoops a day to supplement, 1 scoop is 12g.
  • Its not fake, the ingredient list is peanuts, sugar and salt. They just remove the fat. Its pretty good stuff, but I can't eat it like real PB. I use it as a mix-in. I especially like it stirred into vanilla yogurt, like 3-4T of it...makes a thick yogurt that tastes like PB cheesecake.
  • I love the frozen fish selection. I also like the frozen brown rice. I always get some salsa, tea tree tingle body wash, chewable melatonin (really helps me sleep soundly). I love the powerberries, but can't stop eating them till the bag is gone. I like their little tiny cheese ravioli (dried pasta) it's very good and nice…
  • Thanks for all the good replies! I still want those goldfish crackers, but I'm eating gum! Will probably chew the entire 20sticks tho :) I'm gonna have to buy a case at Costco this weekend.
  • My fave breakfast is an English muffin toasted and smeared with 2T real peanut butter, the chunky style. I add some protein in the form of 3 slices centercut Oscar Mayer bacon and a small glass of milk. This holds me till lunch. I also have Nutrigrain waffles with sugar free syrup some mornings, again with some bacon. I…
  • I use Pure Protein powder. Totally unflavored and melts/mixes very well. I mix it in with yogurt and applesauce. I try to eat 2 scoops a day, helps get my protein intake up to 75g daily.
  • Just finished a tuna salad sammy on a deli flat. Had a Special K pretzel bar for a treat. String cheese and yogurt for the afternoon.
  • I can't do the same lunch everyday. Some of my faves: Premade salad that I put in glass salad bowl, bring along dressing and small baggie of cheese/croutons/sunflower seeds and/or sliced egg/turkey Tuna salad, sliced cukes or tomatoes, wheat crackers and cheese stick BallPark Smoked White turkey dogs sliced and stirred…
  • I try to find subs that I can live with. 72% dark chocolate (cut the pound plus bar from Trader Joe into squares, freeze them and only take out 1-2 a day to thaw) Special K sour cream and onion cracker chips, Breyer 1/2 fat ice cream in Dark Chocolate velvet. Trader joe Powerberries for a candy treat thats a little bit…
  • I use one called Pure from bariatriceating.com. I like it because its unflavored, truly unflavored. It melts in my yogurt and pudding completely. I stir it in, then let dish set for 15min at least. Then stir again and its totally invisible. It says you can use it in warm/hot stuff, but I don't. I stir in cold stuff or put…
  • I like stirring in PB2, 2TBL...until its like a PB mousse. ETA and a little raw sugar too. Makes nice creamy dessert, maybe crush a graham cracker on top if I have cals left for day.
  • I myself only count my walking when I am purposely doing it for exercise. This is because I walk at a brisk pace and don't stop for at least 30min. If I were you, I would put a step counter on and if it hits 5000 or 10000 steps, definitely count it.
  • Tried it, wanted to love it but just didn't. Its ok stirred in things but its not very good if you stir it with water and then eat it on crackers, toast, apples or such. Just not the same flavor or texture. I love chunky PB and I'll work it in a few times a week rather than sub a PB product that just doesn't equal PB. That…
  • LinDsay, I eat Bush chili beans in mild sauce, I don't like the soupy sauce so I use a slotted spoon to get them out. I dr them with extra chili powder and sometimes diced onion. Very tasty and good fiber and protein for a half cup. I also like the Bush navy beans too, i add thyme, pepper and sometimes diced deli ham. For…
  • I love ballpark smoked white turkey dogs. Only 45 cals each and 6g protein. I eat 2 sliced and micro'd for lunch and dipped in mustard and 1oz of LF cheddar shreds. I add half cup of chili beans or navy beans and have a yogurt or applesauce fo dessert and that lunch holds me 4-5 hr. Another fave lunch is tuna made with…
  • The Special K crackers are good. I live spec k cereal but it's pretty much all carb. It's my weekend breakfast treat with some bacon for protein.
  • Oscar Mayer center cut bacon is 23 cals per slice. Great taste. I don't eat it often but when I do it's only that bacon. I love love love bacon.
  • I also really like Natures Own, the 35 cal stuff. I don't eat much sliced bread but that works well when I do. I also like whole grain low fat English muffins in place of bread. They fill me more. I sometimes like Arnolds sandwich thins.
  • Contrary to what Jaspersmom says, the lapband does not work by making you throw up. If you are vomiting, you are too tight. Talk to your dr. If he doesn't do an adjustment to stop your vomiting, find another Bariatric dr immediately. Also I suggest you meet with a nutritionist specializing with Bariatric patients. 600 cals…
