I've used Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. Looking forward to the new Wii Fit U coming out early next year. Besides those though, no.

I have been under doctor's care but each time (every three months) I've been trying different things to avoid actually using medication. I mean, once I get on it, I can eventually take myself off it right? I guess I'll cut caffeine entirely. See how that works. I've been trying to drink more water too. I also decided, as I…

Hey, a first poster! Welcome to the forums! So you have a MyFitnessPal app for the iPhone? Is it official or some other one that allows you to transfer easily things throughout the day? I haven't used this site in months but I want to get back into it and using an app on my phone would be a great way to keep at it. I know…

I've always been a Nintendo gamer and they've never really had a 'well-done' DDR game. :( I used to play Stepmania a lot but with the keys of the keyboard, lol. When I was a freshman in college the local diner joint (way over-priced), had a DDR machine which was the only real reason to go and get over-priced food. Lots of…

This was the perfect thread to open up as I'm starving and thinking of a snack to eat right now... lol. If only.... Eh, probably just gonna go with toast and peanut butter.

Best of luck to you and your endeavors! Welcome to the site. You'll find a lot of support and useful information. Just ask if you ever need it.

It also depends on your weight and age. I am a 24 year old 197 lb male who typically burns anywhere between 10-15 calories on the treadmill. If I was heavier, in theory I'd burn more calories. On some machines when I'm working at my max, I burn 20 calories a minute. So your 212 at 15 min is about 14 calories a minute which…

Does it cost more to make it a salad? My chicken teriyaki would probably be a great salad... mmm.

Yeah I know you're right. And even while I'm still a little flubby, I actually like the look of my body and would be proud to hit the beach with it already. I never aimed to be some hunk but I was just sick of being overweight like I was. So I should just take solace in that fact I suppose. Perhaps that's right too. I make…

If you're gonna have sweets, you gotta bust out a harder workout. That's all the advice I have there unfortunately as much as you probably know that. But don't feel discouraged either about the fact that you have 10 lbs to lose in a small window. You can do whatever you want as long as you push yourself. At this point,…

I used to be able to relate kind of. I used to write in my livejournal how much I wanted to lose weight, and looking back on it I can see so much sadness in my writings. But finally, years later, I somehow just found the motivation. I just signed up at a gym today which will help motivate me further. I used to have a hard…

Being a dude has such advantages. 2000 calories is pretty much my normal to lose weight. If I hit the gym on any given day, I still don't eat more so I actually have a hard time reaching the goal I need. But hey, it happens to all of us. You just gotta accept it, then do better the next day. My guess is that you were no…

The two sides of the coin are this; Regular Soda contains High Fructose Corn Syrup, a really bad form of sugar that will give you the pounds and calories you don't want. Diet Soda contains Aspartame, a man-made chemical that some people believe to be bad for you. I've never seen a truly successful study on proving that…

Chris Elliott (I thought of Snow Day the film and thus this man.)

It will vary week to week as some days I use Wii Fit and others I hit up the gym or others I go outside. This week though (since tomorrow's my weigh in day and a new week begins) I burned on average, 557 calories. Obviously this week was a bit more gym and a little less Wii Fit. 3,343 calories burned this week, almost a…

Don't let it stress you out too much. I guess it's not scientifically proven but I've heard that stress itself can have adverse effects about weight loss but I am curious to how often you've been weighing yourself. I'm sure you know how much it can fluctuate day after day. If you've been just running, perhaps try to change…

-- Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yep... well just don't look at the sodium count... -- Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes, I woke up just after 8 so I would be at the gym just after 9. I have never been to a gym that early although I'm about to go early again today. -- What did I do yesterday that I…

24 year old male of 5' 11". Currently 195.8 lbs. MFP recommends 1,890 calories. I eat usually anywhere between 1750-2150 calories a day. But I also exercise 230-600 calories a day with exercise. I'm never over my recommended number, whatever that may be at the end of the day. Oh, also I'm asking MFP to show me the loss at…

Do you have any more info on the specifics of the product? I couldn't find it on Staples' website but this sounds like a nice little thing to get my old roommate who's out in NYC. I'd appreciate if you could share the brand and name of the product.

I know this isn't facebook, but... *like button*

And this is why people shouldn't necessarily stop eating their favorite foods while dieting. I've continued to lose weight while not giving up my Taco Bell for instance. I just chose to get slightly better items and I try not to get it as much as I used to. And pizza isn't inherently a pound adder ya know? I went to Uno's…

Simple, just make sure you walk the Brooklyn Bridge daily. As you know it's an incredible sight from out there. My old roommate is obsessed with the BB and when I finally had gotten around to checking it out a bit after I moved to Queens, I loved it. I ended up having to move back to Michigan though so I'm a bit far from…

I don't know about your original question but I do know that a chemical used in the "Reduced Fat" Pringles can certainly have a laxative effect if you eat too many of them.

Thrice in my life did I ever have significant weight loss. The first time I did it when I just decided I needed to. In my head, I had it all straightened out. The second was when I lived in NYC for three months earlier this year and well the natural walking and my attempt to eat better worked for me. The third time is…

Drinking water should help, but if you need to snack, just find some kind of significantly minute snack to nibble on. Also try to plan ahead for it. But since it's not hunger calling it's the impulse, I've also heard of chewing gum but I don't know how useful that would be.

Well Hello! I've been using this site for almost four weeks now and I'm finding it to be an incredible tool. Never before motivated, I woke up earlier this month somehow interested in my health like never before and I came here to help that along. I'm certain that with exercise and using this site for your calorie-watch,…

If the doctor says not working out will somehow help you lose weight, then listen to them. But also, go for that hour walk, or make it two 30 minute walks. Don't stress out since stress can work against you in regards to your progress. Just relax, listen to the doctor and if you begin to gain, then I'd call him/her up…

I could ramble indefinitely about Nintendo and Wii Fit Plus, but I wont. Simply put, it's a great game and a great tool for health and fitness. It's true that a lot of the games aren't so much focused on Aerobics, but the ones that are do a good job. Today, I did a 10 minute Free Run around the island, a 10 minute Rhythm…

She might need to turn away from the television in order to do it but she'd be able to in her room. Then again... she could just use her computer and do the exercises anywhere. Hmm, I'll pick this up for sure then. Thanks. :)
