I love their Choceur dark chocolate with roasted hazelnuts bar. One section is an ounce so it's easy to keep potions under control.

thanks!

What a lovely NSV! Having lived in Vienna many years ago, I understand the language barrier! I always carried a dictionary with me at all times!

Good for you!!

Thanks for the clarification. I like the common sense approach to weight loss--whatever works for you to make the lifelong change to health. With all the whacky diet promoters out there, it's sometimes hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.

What I heard from that segment is 2 meals are better because one can easily overestimate calories when eating 6 small meals. I have to worry about blood sugar and it was unclear whether this would be a good plan for me. I measure and weigh everything now so am fairly sure I stay close to my daily calorie budget. Glad IF is…

Wow! That's truly amazing and inspiring-- You're looking so fit and healthy. Congrats!

You look marvelous! What a difference in just 6 months. I can totally relate to your frustration of plateauing. I've been losing so slowly that sometimes I wonder whether it's worth all the hard work. But, when I got my blood work back a few months ago and saw in medical terms how much healthier I am now, I got a much…

Thanks! Just signed up and looking forward to learning more about nutrition. Have already made some amazing strides towards better health through nutrition but can always learn more!

Congrats on taking a bold step in the right direction. I'm closing in on 60 myself, although I find that hard to believe! I've made slow but steady progress since I joined MFP. Tracking all food and exercise has helped to keep me accountable but I would welcome new friends that will give and receive support. Not everyone…

You look amazing! Well done!

That's the best NSV I've heard in quite awhile! What a great family story that will be passed down for generations, most likely!! You must be so proud of daughter and self!
-
Hardest step just taken. Public accountability is a huge motivator--you can do this!!!
-
Amazing difference. Great job!

Love that you're focusing on health first, weight loss second! A great recipe for lifetime success! Congratulations!!

Bump!

Thanks all for the support! Another thing I love about MFP!

I have lowered my carb intake significantly because my doc said I was borderline diabetic. I found that my carb cravings pretty much disappeared after a few weeks. I don't think I'm quite as restricted as I was when I did atkins years ago. It was really hard for me to maintain but that's just me. I still use the protein…

I'm active and live in Ocala. I am not a runner but enjoy swimming, biking, hiking, weight lifting (at least the results of), dancing and aerobics. If you want to add me as a supportive friend and motivator, feel free!

Thought provoking, to say the least. Thanks for sharing.

I just breezed through the book, The Beck Diet Solution, and intend to read more thoroughly now. She, Judith Beck, uses cognitive therapy techniques which, supposedly, will make us more aware of why we have an unhealthy relationship with food. To be honest, my first impression was her main advice is Just Say No, and we all…

Just did my first swim of the season today. The pool temp. is fairly cold, only 71, so I did interval training in the deep end to really get my heart rate going. I do laps to bring it down. During the winter, I do aerobic dvd's and always vary the routines. I plan to keep switching it up this summer to increase my chances…

Just for today: I will give myself hugs for all the things I do to make my life healthier and happier. Thanks for this thread. It's very inspirational!
