Weigh less than I did 15 years ago - Milestone w/Pic

15 years ago I was 25 years old. I ate what I wanted to, when I wanted to, and my body reflected this. I wasn't "morbidly obese" at the time. Nor was I unable to do the things I wanted to do at the time. I vividly remember my boss being next to me when I weighed in. He said, "300 is right around the corner for you." I laughed and told him I would never get there. I was there before I was 30.

I turn 40 this June. I hit my all time high weight 3 years ago at 362lbs. I lifted and worked down to 300lbs. Then I tore both rotator cuffs and had surgery on each.

On July 1st, 2012 I decided that I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired all the time. So I joined back with MFP, started working out, and started eating better.

I was 347.8 lbs when I started.

Today I am 269.0 lbs. I feel 100% better, healthier, and am training for my first of four 5ks this year. I wanted to share - not only because I am proud of myself but I also hope it inspires someone else to push a little harder towards their goal as well. Here is my start pic and current pic.

Thanks for letting me share. Stay strong on your own personal journey. I will be back to post when I hit my first BIG GOAL when I get to 250. :)

Wow great work. I think you should be very proud of yourself! Losing weight and getting healthy can be a huge struggle. I think you have done a tremendous job. I hope your hard work continues to pay off. And being 40 myself I know how much harder it gets as you get older..lol.
