  • I have a Polar FT7 and love working out with it. Like the others, I like to know what zone my heart rate is in and how many calories I am burning as accurately as possible. The machines at the gym are always about 40 calories or so above what my HRM says. I think it is well worth the money if you work out a lot. Good luck.
  • I have a general problem with insomnia every now and then but I haven't noticed anything different with Medifast specifically. It may depend on your activity level or when you may be taking supplements, etc. I do all of my exercising at lunch time because by the time I get home from work, it would be too late. i also eat…
  • for those that don't have it, here is the website for Sandy's Kitchen. The people at the Medifast Center gave me this website when I signed up for the program so they do endorse it. I make the meat lasagna all the time and love and it calls for tomatoes and cheese.…
  • Welcome back to MF! There are a few of us on here and this is the first time for me and I love it. Feel free to send me a friend request if you would like. I am about 15 pounds from my goal and it is taking way too long so I feel your frustration! Good luck.
  • I think you will be happy with either one. I was shocked when last weekend I burned 2,800 calories in a day and had about 11,000 steps. Once you start using it, you will feel lost if you leave the house and forget it. I have actually gotten used to sleeping with mine too and I think one of the FitBits also monitors your…
  • I have had mine with chicken in it too but I bet it is good with some broccoli too. For me, the salsa is my favorite.
  • I don't know anything about that one, but I bought a Polar FT7 that comes with a chest strap and it has been awesome and they run about $70 or $80 on Amazon. I hope you get it to work because they really make a difference for me when I work out. Good luck.
  • It is okay but definitely needs some help. I just made a bowl and I add a wedge of the lite Laughing Cow Cheese and I added salsa to it and it is much better. I live in South Texas so I bought Julios Salsa which I absolutely love and it made a big difference. One serving of the salsa only has 5 calories and 1 gram of carbs…
  • I think they are kind of the same thing but I don't know that much about the Fit Bit. I think they both track your calories burned, steps, etc. and they both sync with MF. However, the Body Media Fit is on an arm band that you can wear 23 hours a day and it will monitor your sleep patterns as well. The Body media fit also…
  • I feel the same way as you about the trifecta of weight loss tools and it is so very motivating. I am friends with someone else who is on MF and uses Body Media too and she said that she prints out a report of what her totals were for when she goes into the center and I thought that was a great idea. It is so easy just to…
  • yeah, my base is 1700 calories burned but I am averaging about 2200 a day and I had a high of 2800 this last Sunday but we worked a water stop at a half marathon and then spent most of the day shopping for furniture so I was active pretty much all day. I really have a bad habit of not logging my food on the weekends and I…
  • I have the bodymedia fit and am doing MF but my daily calories varies depending on whether I work out or not. I think I need to do some adjustments because my target for calories burned is 1700 but I burn a lot more than that even without working out. I need to play with it some more. Or I may need to lower my calorie…
  • Hey. Feel free to add me as a friend because I am on MF too and love the program. I hear you about having your diary private. I have gone back and forth with mine as well but I figure that if you don't like the way I eat and lose weight, then unfriend me! I know that a few people have unfriended me because of that but I…
  • Feel free to add me as well! I started MF in August 2012 and have lost 25 pounds and 30 inches. I went from a size 12 to a size 8. I could have been at my goal weight in November 2012 but I haven't stuck to the program totally 100% but I also added working out at least 3 times a week and I feel better than I have in years.…
  • Welcome to Medifast lmajicat! Here are few recipe websites for you. Sandy's kitchen is my favorite one. She has some really great recipes. The New Medifast receipes has a great recipe for Cabbage tomato beef soup and it is really yummy. I am not sure why they have fruit on there because you can't have fruit on this…
  • Feel free to add me as a friend. I have been on Medifast since August 2012 and absolutely love the program. The first week is really tough but hang in there because it is worth it! There are several of us on here so feel free to ask anything that you like. Good luck!
  • I bought the oatmeal on our first order because I love oatmeal too but it was so nasty that I just couldn't eat it and I have not gone back to try it at all. I think because it is so much powder that it makes like a paste and it just wasn't appealing to me at all. Since I go to the center every week, I check their single…
  • I have the Polar FT 7 as well and love it. You do need to make sure you get one with a chest strap because that is going to give you the best numbers. The FT 7 is very basic so if you need a GPS or anything like that, you will need to upgrade from that model. It is not expensive and works great. Good luck.
  • Hey, Nikki! Welcome back to MF. I have been on it since August and absolutely love the program. I have lost 25 pounds but also about 25 inches! I went from a size 12 to an 8! I still have 15 pounds to go and it is going slower than I want but it is because I haven't been following the program as closely as I should but…
  • Hi, Julie. Welcome to MFP! This is a great start for your weight loss journey so congrats to you for taking that step! Feel free to send me a friend request because I am on Medifast and love the program. There are several of us on here so watch this group for other members. If you want to do the program on your own and not…
  • I love this website too! The meat lasagna is my favorite. I also made the cabbage tomato beef soup from this website last weekend and it was good too: http://www.newmedifastrecipes.com/ Here is another one too: http://yourhealthcoaches.wordpress.com/
  • Welcome Jessica! I sent you a friend request. You are going to love this program and it will hopefully change your life if you are committed to it. Here is a website that the MF center gave me when I signed up and it has been incredibly helpful for the lean and green portions. It has changed my life by way of changing all…
  • Hey. I live in Texas too but I live in New Braunfels. My husband and I actually started Medifast together. He has kind of fallen off the wagon lately, but I am staying the course. I have lost 25 pounds and have about 15 more to go, but I have lost about 25 inches which is way more important to me at the moment. I feel…
  • It is nice to see this Medifast group getting bigger and more active! I am friends with some of you already, but feel free to add me as well if we aren't already friends. I have been on the program since August and love it! We need a big support group.
  • I have a Polar FT7 HRM watch and I love it. I think it is about $70 or something like that. It is just a basic HRM that tells you when you are in fat burning or fitness zones and you can also purchase a docking type station so you can download your workouts to your computer. It does come with a chest strap as well. If you…
  • Welcome to Medifast and good luck to you as well! Feel free to add me also.
  • Welcome to Medifast! My husband and I are both doing it and it is an awesome program! However, the first week is really tough so I feel your pain. Please feel free to add me as a friend because we need more MF people on here so we can have some support! I have also thought about closing my diary as well because there are…
  • Good luck! It sounds like we are in the same boat. I have lost 25 pounds so far but still have about 20 to go but this has been the best way to lose weight for me. You will love it! Feel free to add me as a friend if you like. There aren't a lot of us Medifast people on this website so we have to stick together!
  • First of all, congrats on losing so much weight and taking that step to do it. Also, welcome to Medifast! My husband and I are doing the program and it is awesome! It has been a life changing experience for me. I didn't really have that much weight to lose but for me it was getting on a program that would change my…
  • I just got mine a few days ago too and would welcome any tips on using it. I wore mine to bed last night for the first time and I can't even tell that I have it on. so far, it seems to be working really well. I took it off when I got home last night and downloaded it, then wore it to bed and charged it this morning before…
