  • It is so great to be back on this site and back on Medifast as of today! My husband and I got on this program over a year ago and I had lost 30 pounds and lots of inches but because of some personal issues that happened, we totally stopped doing the program and went back to our bad eating habits and now we are paying for…
  • I was okay with cooking the mac and cheese the way the instructions said and the macaroni was always soft. However, I added salsa and a wedge of light Laughing Cow cheese to mine and it makes a huge difference! I bet if you mix the chili with it, that would be good. I really like a lot of their liquid stuff, like shakes…
  • Welcome, Carol! Yeah, the first few weeks are tough but MF is an awesome program and it changed my life completely. I have lost 30 pounds and about 35 inches since last August and am feeling better than I have in years. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. there is a lot of great support here on MFP so take…
  • I always cook on Sunday and eat off of it all week and this week I made a pork loin and it was awesome! I had some pork rub spice that I bought at the store and I put it in a roaster so it would be covered and cooked it at 250 degrees for several hours and it was amazing. I just put some salt on it and completely covered…
  • What a great idea and they are so cute! Thanks for sharing it.
  • Yaayyy for you!! I was frustrated just like you because I wasn't losing a lot of weight, but I lost a lot of inches and that sounds like what is happening for you so don't get frustrated by the scale. I have finally hit the 30 lb mark and I still have 10 more to go, but I have lost about 34 inches and that is what is…
  • So sorry to hear that you have been so miserable lately. I would think that it probably will take your body a few more days to get back to normal so just listen to it because it is happening for a reason. I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you and that you can get back on track soon.
  • It does have a different taste to it but I add fresh salsa and a wedge of the light Laughing Cow cheese and it makes it much easier to eat. I live in San Antonio, Texas so I use Julios Salsa which is fresh and very tasty. It does satisfy a craving for pasta.
  • Yeah, after several emails back and forth and rebooting, they are going to replace my device too. They said that there is something in there that has come loose and it is a defect in the unit. At least they are going to replace it so customer service has been great so far.
  • So glad to see you back on MFP! So sorry for your loss and I will continue to pray for you and your family. However, it sounds like you did great despite the circumstances so way to go! You already know how I feel about life getting in the way sometimes and you have to deal with it the best you can but it is not the end of…
  • Good luck to you! Planning is most certainly the key to success but for me the best part of MF is that most of my meals are already decided for me except the L&G. However, I spend every Sunday preparing a L&G meal that I eat all week. If you need some ideas for the L&G below is a website that the center gave me when I…
  • Welcome back! Don't you hate how women are such emotional eaters? I know I am very guilty of that too and it is totally understandable with that kind of lifestyle change but the important thing is that you are back! There is a great support system here on MFP so be sure to reach out. Feel free to add me as a friend and we…
  • Welcome to MF! I started my journey at one of the centers and my husband and I started the journey together so yes it wasn't cheap but it has changed my life so it was worth every penny! I am still 10 pounds away from my goal weight but granted I have not been sticking to the plan 100% so I know why it isn't happening but…
  • Welcome to the group! I actually live in New Braunfels but work in downtown SA and have been here for five years. I do work out at Gold's gym downtown during my lunch hour usually four days a week. Feel free to add me as a friend. I will warn you that I am on the Medifast program so my food diary is different but the…
  • The cranberry mango cold drink is my favorite and I always drink it when I get back from working out. It is perfect because it is cold and it has more protein than their other meals or drinks. I usually drink two at once and that helps me get all my meals in for the day. I really struggle sometimes as well to get that…
  • Six months 28 pounds lost 34 inches gone But these numbers are only part of it. For me, it has been a total lifestyle change and that is what I desparately needed. I had a physical last week and I got my bloodwork back from the doctor and it was great besides needing some additional Vitamin D. For many years my cholestrol…
  • Welcome to MF! Feel free to add me as well. I have been on it since August 2012 and love it.
  • Hey, Kristi. Welcome to Medifast! It is an awesome program that has changed my life. Feel free to add me as a friend and there are a lot of us on here who support each other through this journey so be sure to look them up as well. If you have any questions about anything, just ask. Congrats on deciding to use Medifast.
  • I like a lot of their drinks so I eat a lot of those. The Cranberry Mango cold drink is great and it has a lot of protein in it so it is good for when I get back from the gym. I really like the hot cocoa and the chai latte as well. Of course, the shakes and most of the bars are really good. I like the Mac n Cheese, but I…
  • Welcome to Medifast! I am glad that someone can eat that oatmeal because I have tried and just can't do it and I really miss eating oatmeal. I have really gone away from eating their soups, but whatever else has said does hold true where you have to let it soak and then it is much better. I usually eat their bars, parmesan…
  • My absolute favorite thing is the Peanut Butter Crunch bar. I have really had a hard time with their soups and have not eaten them in a long time. I also like the hot cocoa and the cranberry mango cold drink. For quick snacks, I like the Mixed berry cereal and the parmesan puffs. I do like pretty much all of their shakes…
  • check out this website for some really good L&G meals. My favorite on this list is the meat lasagna. We were given this site by the Medifast center so they are approved for the program. I also like to do just a beef roast in the crock pot with beef broth, cabbage and mushrooms as well. I am a big fan of cabbage though so…
  • Welcome to Medifast! My husband and I are doing the program as well and it makes it so much easier when you can support each other! The first week is the hardest but trust me it is worth it so hang in there! Feel free to add me and there are a lot of us on here that are on the program and we support each other all the way.…
  • I have been on Medifast since August 2012 and have lost 25 pounds but 30 inches. I have been kind of stuck and have not been losing much weight but I am still losing inches so that is okay with me. I work out 4 times a week and do 40 minutes on the elliptical machine but not at a heavy pace but enough to keep me in a fat…
  • I live in New Braunfels but work in downtown SA. I always work out at the Gold's gym during my lunch hour.
  • I have a Polar FT7 and a BodyMedia Fit and use both of them every day. I wear the BodyMedia all day long and it tracks my calories burned, steps, etc. and I wear the chest strap for the FT7 when I am actually working out so I can monitor my heart rate. I think the Fitbit does the same thing as the BMF but I like the BMF…
  • I plan on wearing mine with short sleeves too and I ordered a couple different bands and am going to order some of the skins too. I probably won't wear it on the beach either because of the heat, but I can't imagine being without it! We are planning a trip to the Riviera Maya later this year too so I have to be in bathing…
  • I sometimes take a Motrin PM when I have insomnia. I don't take it all the time, but every now and then and I only take one. Stress would be a big cause of that. When we used to have a jacuzzi tub at home, I would run a nice hot bath with bubble bath and sit in that for a while and it really relaxes me and then I am out.…
  • I work in San Antonio but live in New Braunfels.
  • I have a Polar FT7 and put mine on when I work out and it really is worth it to get an accurate reading. When I was looking for one, I was the same way and didn't want the strap, but the fact is that they aren't very accurate without the strap. I did a lot of research and decided on the FT7 because it is just a basic HRM…
