TDEE is you Total Daily Energy Expenditure which is an estimate of how many calories you burn in a regular day without added exercise. BMR is you Basal Metabolic Rate which is an estimate of how many calories you burn in a day if you did nothing but lay in bed all day. Feel free to add me.

I would suggest a whey protein isolate such as Nature's Best Isopure Low Carb. It is 110 Cal per scoop with 25g of protein per scoop. But it is fairly expensive, but comes in a 7.5 lb tub.

Put your scale in an inconvenient location. That way the only reason you have to go there is to weigh in. If you constantly pass by you could be tempted to weigh yourself even though It has only been a day or two.
-
Go with a HRM (heart rate monitor). Fitbit is a great one. It will gauge your heart rate and tell you the amount of calories burned instead of steps taken. This is helpful because then it can be used for almost any exercise instead of just walking or running.

For weight loss stick with a whey protein isolate instead of a combination or concentrate. The isolate has fewer calories and almost no fat. It is also lactose free unlike the concentrate. Isolate however is a little more expensive than the concentrate and combinations.
-
Try using a whey protein isolate powder. Most have less than 4g of sugar per scoop. And they are also fat and lactose free.

Feel free to add me. Everyone can use more support.

TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) for sure. I eat at the MFP level because it is below my TDEE and works for me. TDEE tells you how much you are burning. Eat less and you will burn your body stores to reach it. Eat more and you gain. So I suggest staying under TDEE and over BMR. (Somewhere in between)

I have weighed 170lbs before and have weighed 300 lbs. currently at 291. I was large for most of my life and even after I lost the weight and was 170 I felt large. But my clothes were smaller and I had more energy. So it's not just a woman thing. I think it is more to do with living a large portion of your life big.

Yep, What realm do you play on? I don't have the MoP expansion yet, Have to buy new running shoes and some gym shorts.

Awesome. I haven't went 3 miles in anything but a vehicle in a long time.

Take whatever your current calorie per day goal is and subtract 500. that will cause you to start losing 1 lb per week again. But don't go under 1200.

I work night security at a hospital and I can say the biggest challenge is having a backwards schedule. My dinner becomes breakfast and my breakfast dinner. and 2 meals at work is difficult.

I doubt it's water weight. I only drink water and lots of it. I drink about 2 liters per day.

Me and my wife both recently started using MFP. I started out at 300 lbs, am a former marine, and have a 2 year old daughter. I have currently lost 9 lbs. My wife is attempting to gain weight. She hasn't weighed in again yet, but started at 84. My biggest motivation is the support I receive from her and I had not had that…
