  • When I fry it I usually use a little olive oil and seasonings. Or I will marinade the chicken and fry it in the marinade. Though I guess that is more like a boiled chicken as it is cooking in the liquid of the marinade until it reduces. I use the packets of marinade that you add the oil, vinegar, and water to not the…
  • I usually like to have some type of meat, usually chicken breast, along with some type of side. I have had two totinos party pizzas this week
  • Thanks. I will need to go back and correct previous entries.
  • I created a personalized Ticker. You go to your profile and you have a choice of using a standard one or a personalized one. Unfortunately to get your ticker to show up on the forums right now you have to enter the BBCode this generated when you make you ticker. I put a help ticket in on this issue and they are hoping to…
  • Thank you everyone for the helpful advice and tips. I will be sure to try some of these out tonight. To those who suggested that I just get up earlier I understand it works for you but not everyone can handle only 5 hours a sleep a night. I for one cannot. So if someone says that getting up 20-30 minuets extra in the…
  • Unfortunately no. I have a pet who needs insulin shots every 12 hours so he needs his shot at 7:00 am and 7:00pm. Also I prefer to work out at home where no one can see me make a fool of myself. lol. I don't want to just lose weight. I used to be a dancer so I have a lot of muscle, especially in the thigh area, that needs…
  • Sleep faster? I feel like you are trying to troll me.
  • This was not helpful advice. Please see previous comments about mornings. This has probably been the best advice. Maybe I am trying to change too much too soon. I just need to sit down and maybe rethink my workout schedule. I think I am probably overwhelming myself with trying to change/break so many old habits at once and…
  • This is a totally bad idea for me. Those kinds of drinks make my anxiety so so bad. Almost panic attack level. I do have a Fitbit One. I have two desk jobs so unfortunately I don't get that many steps in throughout the day. When the weather is nice outside I usually try walking outside when I get home from work, but as it…
  • Working out does help with the depression and anxiety as I noticed that in the past. It also seems to help me sleep better as well. Those are some of the main reasons I want to find a way to deal with my burned out state when I get home from work. I wish I could find an accountability buddy. My husband also needs to lose…
  • Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. I think some of you are right about the sitting down part when I get home. First thing I always do is go up to my room and change into something more comfortable. The minute I do I am in trouble because then all I want to do is lay in bed. I know some of you strongly suggest getting…
  • I feel your pain when it comes to your significant other. My husband is not just over weight he is obese. I have tried so many times to talk to him about it and tried motivating him to take walks with me or just do something besides sit at the computer playing games on his days off. I've even tried a reward system for him…
  • Thanks everyone. I'm going to go and make the change :)
  • *bump*
  • Fitbit is not going to register anything but your steps. Therefore any arm movements or body movements that don't cause you to take a step will not register.
  • I took a look at some of the videos on that site. I don't think they would really work for me as I would have to do them in our computer room which is very tiny so online videos aren't really going to work.
  • So I went and adjusted my profile to say lose only .5lbs a week and it only gave me 90 extra calories a day....:( So I just decided to leave it at 2lbs a week since both 1 and 2 lbs have me at 1200 calories a day. The 90 extra calories really isn't going to make a big difference in sating my hunger.
  • I was warned away from the kale due to it tending to be bitter. I only buy fresh produce, the idea of it coming from a can is just gross to me...to slimy. If anyone has any good smoothy recipes please let me know. I do have a blender. As long as I can't taste the veggies then I might be okay. I'm not big on bananas but as…
  • Lol. As I am reading your suggestions my brain is going: Chopped chicken (ok), sesame seeds(maybe), kale(i'd used spinach instead), shredded Napa cabbage(yuck), and shredded carrots(not too many) with an Asian-spiced vinaigrette (other dressing vinaigrette are too vinegary for me) Buffalo chicken (nice), blue cheese(can't…
  • Peppers and onions are a couple that I can actually stand cooked along with celery. Usually it is in my stir fry or fried rice. I can't do tomatoes as the texture is just too slimy for me. Also carrots are one of those only raw ones and even then I can only stomach a few before i can't take it anymore. Broccoli is…
  • *bumping so this doesn't get lost. Hasn't been answered yet*
  • It does have my calorie intake to 1200 but that seems pretty reasonable considering how sedentary I am during the day (I have a desk job so there isn't much leaving seat to do things). I am a petite girl at only 4'10". My protein is usually higher than my fat intake and my carb intake is usually very close to what it…
  • Well thanks to your post I noticed that my tracker didn't update my new weight loss goal. I my goal I started at the beginning of March was to lose 10lbs by June 1st. I only weigh myself once a week and my weight has been yo yoing the whole time. :(
  • Bumping for an answer
  • Thanks so much for the advice. I am doing yoga tonight and I wasn't really sure how to best record it. Thanks.
  • I do love onions both raw and cooked. I don't like tomatoes so things like spaghetti sauce and ketchup, and pizza sauce don't get eaten. In fact my local pizza places doesn't even ask my name anymore because when i order a pizza it is always "extra extra light on the sauce, hardly any at all" so they always know who the…
  • Thanks everyone. I will think very hard about talking to my doctor about this. I have a serious phobia of needles though and usually end up in a panic attack before I even get in the parking lot and if I am sick and there is even the smallest remote chance I am going to get a shot then I would rather just suffer through…
  • Same here. The work week is the worst for me, I also have an 8 hr a day desk job). I have cut way back on the bready carbs compared to what I used to eat. I try to eat fruit as often as I can and as for vegatables...well I am open to suggestions as to what I can do to get them choked down. Most of the ones I can tolerate…
  • No hard feelings. I just wanted you to know I wasn't making excuses. I know what you mean though. It is so easy to do that and then WHAM before you know it it has become like a second nature or a crutch to be able to talk yourself out of doing something because you can rationalize to yourself why can't or shouldn't do it.
