So I just did the p90x cardio but my fitbit says I only did 9 minutes of being active. I did the whole 48 minutes or however long it is ofthe dDVD. How can I figure out what my calorie burn really was since my fitbit clearly didn't register everything I did.

Can you break down the exercises you did do against the MFP database?

I know its not the same, but that might be the only way.

Probably need an HRM for something like that. That's why I switched to the TDEE method - can never find an accurate calorie burn - too much effort to track it. I still wear my FitBit but now I don't have it linked.

Fitbits are not good at anything other walking or running when it comes to exercise. They are glorified pedometers, not heart rate monitors.

Most people will use a good HRM for other cardio activities as a better estimate. I personally run with a bluetooth HRM synced up to the endomondo app and my Fitbit so it counts everything together. There are other ways to do it, though, but they typically start with HRM.
