Excellent weight loss this week – you are awesome!! Thanks for the recommendations – we don’t have an Aldi’s but I will find something small or I can always order on Amazon right? Calves- yes! I have had a ton of issues. Get yourself a foam roller..it totally helps! I roll out my legs every day. Also make sure your shoe…

Hey GloriaE2016 - yes quiet for sure..its been a hard week for me. Eating has sucked big time and I am finding cravings are so bad. I know I get more cravings when I am busy or stressed and this is my week. Any suggestions for low cal satisfying snacks? I eat an apple per day to try to satisfy my sweet tooth but this week…

Its hard to start - I always tell people to just go super slow. Just run from one hydro pole to the next and then walk and then try again. Our weather is pretty good except we have torrential rain but I like to run in the rain..its pretty peaceful. You should sign up for a 5 km race and then you will find that motivation!!

This weekend was a busy one and good. My daughter plays competitive softball so it was season opener (I am the manager / husband the coach) so lots to do. But I got my runs in - Sat- 15 km & Sun- 9 km hard trail run. I need to do more core work and actual arm workouts as I am super wimpy in my arms. I can do like 3…

Great job- If you don't normally jog - just start with 1.5 minutes and gradually build up in 30 sec increments. If you are a runner - then have at it, you can do it..just slow down to hit your 5 minutes mark!!

This 100%. When you do cardio - your body develops collateral vessels which is a natural bypass for the heart. It puts your heart into a much better health catagory able to survive a heart attack much better (can't remember the %). If you don't do the cardio - you simply do not develop the vessels. So as I said before, it…

I had 2 friends notice and really were shocked at how different I look (have lost 20 lbs and 5 ft tall) I have lost 8 inches off my hips, 6 off my waist - its very noticeable. Everyone else - nothing. Like I think they notice but say nothing. I think they don't say something as it then points to the fact that I was heavy??

Hi there, it's just an opinion is all. I train with a lot of amazing athletes who cardio train 60+ minutes 4 times a week and they are in amazing condition with no injuries. I personally do about 45-60 minutes 4x's per week and 90 minutes once per week (my long runs) I have dropped weight like mad and am on my last 10 lbs.…

Hey! I use the website https://myvega.com/recipes/ ALL the time as it really give wonderful recipes. They are more vegan but you can change ingredients as well. I made buffalo cauliflower bits last night - so good! I do a lot of rice paper wraps as well with raw vegetables and make a dairy free peanut thai sauce dip.

Ok - so I have always been active BUT I have always overeaten especially donuts and treats. I was a professional baker so I know how to provide myself those delightful goods. This past Christmas, I realized that I needed to make a choice - coming from an unhealthy family background - I had to choose if that's what my plan…

Hi! I am small - 5 feet (1.5 m). I have lost 20 lbs since Jan 1st putting me currently at 115 lbs. I have about 10 lbs left to lose and stick pretty close to 1200 calories per day. It does suck that I run like a mad woman for 60 minutes and burn only 600-700 calories. I get it, smaller person = smaller burn ...but I just…

Foam roll every damn day x's 3. And stretching (lots online) and massage. And check your shoes have a good 12m drop (my Brooks Ghost's are a pair of beauties) and watch running on crowned roads/ trails. Switch sides every KM / M. Acupuncture helps immensely as well.

Compliment sandwich - generally works well in social & business settings. The other thing to recognize is you don't always have to be right (not just you but me and everyone else) You always have to ask yourself - "at the end of the day, does being correct on this really matter that much?". It's a tough one but if you are…
