LOTS of water. Not everyone does, I sure do too.

That's the problem everywhere. Too many are religiously tied to their own way and will "SMH" at you for doing it "wrong". They all work, but the one that works best is the one you stick with. Except crack. Crack is bad.

Lift heavy and less. Most important is to maintain proper form or injury will come. 5x5 sets of Squat, Deadlift, bent over row, overhead press, dumbbell bench. Stronglifts etc.

Sometimes Mac and cheese just makes everything better in the world.

Everyone has their own opinions on the matter and only believe the research that backs their position. Both are effective. The most effective is the one you stick to.

Mine did. I still use the cpap though because I got so used to it and it keeps me from snoring. My last sleep study was clean. I just snore.

Not just that, but people who work in the arctic/antarctic zones have to consume 4-6000 calories to keep up with the cold. Lots of info on it out there.

Week one is hard for a lot of people. It gets easier and the cravings go away.

Yes, and the results will suck if you are not a genetically gifted person. Unless poor diet means eating less than you use but it's just pizza. Then you will be fine if not a bit malnourished.
-
Give it a few more days, it goes away in a week or so.

Nope, we don't. At least, not the smart ones. OP: Read the research, make your own decisions(mind you, the anti-lc warriors will find some way to ignore any study that does not agree with their POV). If you find it easier to stick to low carb, than it will work faster because you keep to it. If shoveling rice, pasta, and…

If everyone on MFP were more like you, this would be a much better place. Way to many people here think their way is the right way and the rest are just idiots.

Same as any 'diet'. Learn proper portions and how to eat well without overfeeding. No matter what way you go, you always have to keep out of the old habits once you get there. ANY caloric deficit will work. Just do what you can stick with.

Yes to thermodynamics. No to performing exactly the same, because A has a different real BMR/TDEE and body composition than B.
-
For every study posted, there will always be people to will "hurr durr derp" the study because it does not reflect their personal viewpoint. Simple fact of the matter is any way of eating works as long as there is a deficit of calories to facilitate loss. The equation is very personal and is the real issue. What is…

Not even close to skinny fat. Listen to the masses: You want to look better(whatever your definition is)? Eat more and lift!

I got the Costco 5200 for 380. It's a dream to use. There is no question how great they are.

Atkins type diets are great if it works for you. You can still overeat no matter how many times you read eat what you want. I find keto easy to follow but damn snacking sabotages me.

Low carb thread checklist: Anti LC NUTS? CHECK! Lies about your individual response to LC? CHECK! LC is "harder" than other diets? CHECK! The LOL ATKINS HERT ATTERK bs? CHECK! Ignore any studies that support LC? FILE NOT FOUND There is a lot of recent news on the subject. If you can find it. Don't you DARE CHALLENGE THE…

Just another means to an end. The important thing is to find what works for you and you can stick with. I'm personally a LCHF fan, but it's because it's easy for me to stick with when I do it.

My guess, years of both. and 9-10%?

If you are being medically supervised, you are OK. Just because DR billybob jimbo shabadoo Interweb MD hates them dern prescriptions, you are entitled to see if they help you. I DO agree that you and your doc need to dig deeper into your energy issues. If you can, seek second opinions, then thirds.

You might actually not be eating enough. One hour of elliptical can put me in the 3500 calorie range to lose weight still. You need to feel it out, and know what you want to get out of it. If its losing fat, then probably fine. If you are trying to gain, 5k isnt a bad number.

shamelessly stolen from fat baby thread

Thinking for yourself does nobody any good. Now stop it and drink some SOY JUICE! /I prefer almond never liked the taste of moocowmilk

Do it how you like, that is all that matters. It takes a week sometimes two to get over that initial hump. 40% of the people here will want to burn you like a witch for wanting to LC, the other 40% will cheer you on. Then that last 20, they won't care anyway!

No.

A lot of cardio can be counterproductive to lifting. And are you eating to support lifting progress?
-
Isn't either to just say muscle is more dense, sure, but it doesn't sound as good to a person losing weight. Grammar Tards need to feel good about themselves so this is what we get.

Emaciated cardio addicts look much like meth addicts. Most every gym has at least one.
