Im due to start week 1 of Beta tomorrow. I've lost 6inchs from my belly, 2 from my arms, 1 from each thigh and the scales have gone down by 6 pounds since I started. My advice is to make sure you eat healthily. I have eaten badly a few of the days (had a few birthdays so went out for food) and found that the scales don't…

I think they are also quite dangerous. I took them for a while and now cant eat a "larger" meal (ie going to a restaurant etc) without being up all night on the loo. Don't use them.

MFP has calculated 1690 calories burned doing my day to day activities, and has suggested a new calorie intake of 1200 to create a deficit of 490 and lose 1pound per week. I've tried to change it to lose 2 pounds per week but it keeps saying the same - 1200 net intake. I don't usually eat any more than 1500 calories a day…

Thank you for your replies so far! They've helped a lot. I try to eat at a deficit and eat healthy most of the time. I have the odd cheat meal whe birthdays etc come up, but who doesn't?! I think I need to really look into the "deficit" some of you mention. Perhaps I am eating too much (although good food) which offsets…

Its not just three minutes long - its 12 x 3minute HIIT bursts plus a 15 minute ab workout at the end

Thank you for your reply! I think I will give it a go!

My dvd is on it's way! Im looking forward to starting it as Charlotte Crosby has lost a hell of a lot of weight. I've also starting doing Jillian Michaels yoga inferno, and the Tracy Anderson mat workout so will probably do a mix of all. Pucchiberry - I would probably log the cardio section as circuits or aerobics -…

Thank you all for the replies, that does help. I will try that calculator and see if that helps :)

I would suggest these to anyone who has done insanity. Like any workout there is going to be things you will like and things you will not. I hope this helped a little. [/quote] Thanks for the reply, it did help. My living room is very small so Asylum may not be the best option!

Thanks, I think I will try Asylum. I need something that will give me a short workout as well as a long one - some days I just cannot fit a whole hour in!
-
Thanks everyone! How long are the Asylum workouts compared to T25?

I need to have a look on the beach body website and check out Asylum. Is it harder? Katrine, I feel the same about gyms, and I also find that I cant really be bothered to actually get there. I prefer home workouts - im much more motivated to get sweaty when no one is watching... :)

Insanity is hard - but it gets easier as you build your fitness levels up. Ive just started the 2nd month (when the workouts get longer and more intense) and they are exactly as the title - Insane!!. Ive lost a total of 22 pounds so far, and a good few inches off everything, and my fitness levels have gotten so much…

They sell the DVDs on amazon, you may be able to pick up cheap second hand ones on eBay. Otherwise maybe check out YouTube - there may be clips on there :)

Im starting Insanity month 2 tonight.....EEEEEEEK! Im very nervous. I thought the recovery week would be a walk in the park but my god was I wrong  The guys on here have probably finished insanity by now as this is an older thread - would be good to know your results after month 2?!

Insanity is BRILLIANT. I love it! Its hardcore but you know you are working your body hard as you sweat like a pig. I've started and stopped at least three times now - due to holidays and work commitments etc. But at the moment, I'm consistent and in to the recovery week (which by the way is just as much of a workout as…

Thank you all for your replies. I have measured myself now, and have lost a few inches! So it is reducing! I will keep at it and hope for the best :)
-
Haha I like that!!

Thank you all for your comments so far. I think I just needed confirmation that I was on the right track. I think when you work so hard to train and diet and don't see results as soon as you would like, you get kind of disheartened! Just have to be patient. Thanks all :)
