  • I just got into cycling about three months ago but I love it. I currently just ride on weekends. I would like to try mountain biking at some point. For now one bike is all I need.
  • I would buy my own. Those 2.5 and 5 lbs can make a difference when you sew trying to get to the next weight. I've botten cable attachments when I needed them for my work gym. Just remember to take them with you.
  • One of my biggest concerns is getting a flat. Were you able to fix them on your own? I've taken two classes and with the help of youtube I could probably do it but I know in my area there is mobile bike help if I need it and AAA if you are a member. Just peace of mind because from what I've witnessed other cyclist will…
  • I only started riding about two months ago and the biking community is one of the most welcoming I've experienced. I'm not comfortable enough to ride on my own and don't know if I ever will be but there are so many organized rides and most have different levels and are no drop. I'm not sure what area you are in but I would…
  • That is a great deal. The contract works both ways. They should honor the deal for the remaining three months. But if only given your choices Option 3.
  • I read this yesterday. Very tragic.
  • I'm new to cycling also. Going on about two months now. I only go out on the weekends because I like group rides and am not comfortable enough to venture out on my own just yet. I average about 50 to 60 miles on the weekends. Feel free to friend me if you want.
  • For my boxing classes I like my New Balances Minimus. I actually have two pair. I take circuit/hiit classes too, I don't wear them for that. I prefer a more support if plyometrics or running/sprints/sleds are involved. I would try a running store and tell them your activity, as they carry cross training shoes as well.
  • Walmart and Nutrishop for creatine and glutamine and bars. Other than that Vitacost Vegas Discount Nutrition, and obviously based on my profile pic, Max Muscle but I like their protein and I have a hook up. I never go to GNC even with their new reward structure. I recently found myself at Vitamin World because I had an…
  • @machka49, thanks for the tip! Mine is set to ride but my problem is because it's linked to my Garmin it shows every activity in my feed so if I work out everyday, sometimes twice a day, it just shows workout. But I do like Strava for my rides and also Relive for the video. Maybe it's an option on the premium but I'm not…
  • @Orphia, I'm too new to have any specific goals yet. I'm only about a month and a half in. Eventually I will look into that though. @machka9, I've just started deleting other activities so they don't show up in my feed. I only cycle on the weekends and my Garmin app tracks everything else. I tried to google the issue but…
  • I just started using Strava cause I recently got into cycling. I wish there was a way that it only pushed my cycling activities to the app and not everything else I do during the week.
  • I'm new to cycling but I have caught the bug! I'm about a month in. I have only rented bikes with the regular narrow seat that it comes with. I just bought a bike a couple weeks ago with the same seat. For myself the bottoms and brand that I wear is what I notice, which is what other female cyclist have told me. Once you…
  • I like to mix up my workouts as well. I take a couple bootcamp classes a week, three weightlifting classes, a boxing and now that I've started cycling I do that on the weekends as well. I still have my Classpass membership so I can try one different class a month through that. I would get bored otherwise. Not sure why it's…
  • I also use dogfoodadvisor as a reference. You might want to try getting some samples from the boutique type stores in your area. The two I frequent give out sample bags. I'm like you, I want to feed the best but I draw the line at raw or cooking for them. I currently feed Zignature and Earthborn. I mix them. My 8 year old…
  • I'm a fan of gloves, not callouses, but I've been lifting awhile so I can't imagine going without them. The lifting class I take I think maybe three of us wear gloves. Just personal preference.
  • Amazon, Costco, Vitacost, Max Muscle, Nurtishop, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, and Walmart. Depends on what I am buying where I will buy it.
  • Do it! I've just started cycling and the cycling community is the best. Have fun!
  • I'm pretty happy with my workout bottoms but I stick to Nike or Old Navy compression. As far as tops go I'm a tank top person cause I feel constricted in anything else. Not that I have been cycling I can appreciate a back large pocket big enough for my cell phone because a few tank top options like that for when I am…
  • Just keep doing them. I've never used the machine. I started in the squat rack, then progressed to bands but always with assistance getting in and out of them. I have a pull up bar at home, just the cheap door one, that I also used when I was trying to master them but didn't want to do it in public. I always did lat pull…
  • Have you tried the screen protector? I bought a package of three from Amazon and I just used the third one from the package. The protector gets chipped and damaged but my watch has remained safe.
  • Garmin Vivoactive HR. It's programmed for multiple activities, long battery life, waterproof, GPS, optional chest strap.
  • Some great tips. I am new to cycling myself and currently on the lookout for a used bike. I have been using Offer Up and Craig's list. Haven't found what I am looking for yet I am hopeful about a bike I am going to see later this week and actually going to take it to a bike shop to be checked out before I decide to buy it.…
  • Based on the reviews on Amazon it looks pretty good. I can't imagine carrying my 20lb for any length of time! That's awesome though!
  • Weightlifting, eating healthy. Exploring meat free living. Add me.
  • I'm a fan of gloves, always have been. I've never noticed that it has hindered me in any way. My favorites are just the Nike ones I pick up at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. I believe they come in s/m and m/l. Less than $10. It is a preference as usually there is only a couple of us wearing them in Kettlebell or weightlifting class.
  • I love lifting. I try and do a yoga class at least once a month. I have done aerial. I need to do more of it. Obviously plenty of options where I am located for that and it's on Classpass. I always get a little intimidated when I go though because some of those classes are full of Cirque and Strip performers.
  • I bet you that the price will fluctuate with Halo Top's.[/quote] Yep. I went. I went to Smith's last night and Kroger's brand was prominently displayed on an end cap for $3.99. Halo Top was $4.99 and it is consistently $4.49. Doubt it will ever be that price again. I tried the mint chocolate and the birthday cake. Very…
  • I love Halo Top and am so glad it's easier to find then in the past. That being said I still can't bring myself to spend more than $4 on it so I limit myself to buying it at Smith's so I will definitely look for this next time I am there.
  • Based on your schedule and home life it sounds like morning would be your best time to get it in. I take 6 am classes 3 times a week. The first month or so was rough and for me when the time changes it's a little harder to drive to the gym in the dark versus now where it's light out. I've been doing mornings awhile now and…
