  • Anyone able to help?
  • I'm 28 and am still ID'd in shops. Am only 5' - but I keep telling myself that I will be pleased about it when i'm older!
  • The only thing I can see on your diary is that your not eating back your exercise calories - perhaps try giving your body more fuel - the Body, in its self-defensive mode, tends to hang onto everything if it doesn't get enough fuel. I'm a very active person and trying to survive on 1200 calories a day was the worse thing I…
  • After you replied about this on my post last week - I upped my calorie intake - whilst I haven;t stood on the scales as yet, I am feeling so much better in myself!! So Thank you !!
  • Are you taking account of your exercise calories? Just last week I posted a similar post, as I am a very active person but never lost any weight - and the thoughts were that I wasn't eating enough! My body had shut down and was holding onto everything I fed it - SO I have now manually adjusted my calories to 2000 per day…
  • Wow, thanks Psulemon - that's great information! And interesting - am at the end of my tether with it all and so am willing to try anything! A whole 1000 calories more than i'm eating now - it will be a struggle at first but I shall have a go! I tend to have 1 or 2 rest days a week where I don't do much exercise if any.…
  • Thanks everyone! I shall try upping my calories and get to my DRs when i get chance! Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement - especially RachelS - made me smile
  • What do people think - Should I up my everyday calorie allowance - even on those days when I don't exercise, or just make a more determined effort to eat extra on those days I do exercise?
  • I have a BMI of 30! I am classed as Obese - i'm sure if you saw me you wouldn't think that, but thats what it says. I'm 5' nothing, 158 lbs and fit into a UK size 12 (just atm!! ) But anyway, I need to shift some weight and it ain't moving. ] May go to the Drs like kirstyjosephine suggested. And thanks MrsBlobs - I…
  • thanks Morgan - I shall have a read. I do try to eat alot of my exercise calories, just not the full amount in case they are extra generous on the database - maybe I didn't work as hard as they expected me to! :)
  • Hi, I am, but this is the last month. The nurse suggested trying something else. The Drs is my next point of call. Friends say that I should be a size zero the amount of exercise I do - I just don;t stop
  • Thanks Guys - thought that would be the case. I never go massively over the calories the day following exercise, but its a shocker when you press the complete entry button and it reckons you should have gained 5 - 10lb that day! But yea - agree that if body needs it, body should have it! And Pinksherbet - thanks for the…
  • Great thanks guys - all great advice! Will definately my shoes checked out, plus think its about time to invest in some new ones anyway. But for now will stick to spinning and swimming! And RICE !!
  • Thanks Guys - appreciate all the responses!!
  • Hi Jane I'm in training for cycling across kenya in 12 months time. My exercise can be a walk with the dogs - to a 45 min spinning session - to a 4 hour bike ride. I'm still at early stages and so am not training every day just yet - just generally improving my fitness - hence the fluctuations in calories burnt - I need my…
  • Thanks guys. Ill put it down to the cold then but will definitely check my shoes aren't too tight etc! Thanks :)
  • So pleased to hear its not just me! yes I am fair skinned also and sounds like it just comes with the territory!! Certainly doesn't put me off, just feel concious of it - I shall just get on with it then, knowing that i'm not the only one in the world  Maybe it also makes it look like I am working extra hard?…
  • Thank you!! A Charity Close to my heart!!
  • To stop my sugar cravings, I drink diet coke, or Pepsi Max. Know their full of other 'not-so-good' for you things - but it stops me reaching for the chocolate or biscuits!!
  • I'm 5' and half an inch - I love being small, but do like my extra half an inch
  • Thanks Guys - have now made my profile 'public'. Although only about a weeks worth on there from recent times- and have tended to miss of my 'naughty days' and days that I can;t be bothered with it. And its something I've picked up and put down over the last year or so - so any thoughts / advice on what I am eating wouold…
