That's the hard thing, I don't know if I'm measuring myself in the exact spot as the last time. I try to measure the widest spots but using a tape is kinda hard sometimes...idk maybe it's just me...I just want accuracy

Per MFP, if I put sedentary (because I sit at a desk most of the day) and I put .5lb a week it gives me 1640, so then eat my exercise calories on top of that? I don't really know how many to eat with lifting...

It has been a month though, wouldn't water retention from not eating enough or starting a new exercise regime be pretty much gone by now? And yes I log condiments as well. I only drink water...and a lotttt of it!

I am weighing and measuring everything. I even tend to overestimate things a little just to make sure I don't go over my allotted calories. And I have looked up my TDEE...It's hard to estimate it with lifting because it doesn't burn as many calories, but I think its around 2200...

Should I stick to 1200? Or do I need to up it? I have heard that I need to be at a deficit in order to lose fat, but I don't know how much of a deficit. I don't think it drops out during workouts, but i'm not totally sure it has a great connection. I wasn't aware you are supposed to get the sensors wet before putting it on. Everyone else I have talked to about it also think that calories are very low.

Yes. I put all of that information in it. Maybe I got a bad one? I don't really know. Everything I have calculated says my burned calories should be much higher, especially with how high my heart rate.

Which HRM do you use?

I have put my heart rate in the calculators with age, sex, and weight and the calories burned is closer to the machine calories...

I was using an elliptical. My average HR was 162.

Thanks! Do you lift? And are you around my height or weight? I'm just trying to get an idea where I should be calorie wise? I don't know what I should net. I was so stuck on 1200 cals but everyone says its wayyyy too low for me.

If i'm not burning as many calories as I would be doing cardio, how did you figure my TDEE would be around 2414-2684? Because I was figuring it was around there when I was doing straight cardio 5 days a week.

I will have to try going up to 14-1500 and see what that does. Its just really hard not to get frustrated not seeing that number get lower!

I have given each one a decent amount of time...I couldn't tell you exact time though. I might just have to start eating my BMR and going from there. With your 1500 calories, is that net? Or how many do you eat normally to lose?
