Makes sense. Well since I don't spend a whole lot of time doing much that's "active" besides exercise since I'm studying school, music, spending a lot of time job-looking and other things like that where I sit a lot, I should change my activity to sedentary. So if i don't count exercise then I'm definitely only lightly active!!

If my exercise is strictly 3 days a week, does 1650 - 1700 sound good?

Well I plan on cutting my exercise down to about 3 days a week. 30 minutes of lifting followed by 30 - 45 minutes of walking 3x a week, I don't have as much time to exercise as I used to so I think I'll try 1650 - 1700 calories for a month and see how I do. Thanks for the advice though :)

Thank you! I think I'm only lightly active since I'm not exercising more than 3 - 4 days a week, and only walking for cardio. So, I'll stick with 1600 for a few weeks. Thank you!

Vigorous cardio is not a must to lose weight. And, exercising 3 times a week is fine. Your body needs an ample amount of rest to recover.

What else do you do for exercise, may I ask? Or at least, roughly, how many calories do you burn on exercise?

Well, if you're eating 1400 - 1600, then it should work for me, too? I exercise over an hour on the days I exercise, and on the days I don't exercise I'll be eating about 1300 calories.

Thank you for this. I am doing strength training, and 3 times a week. Unfortunately I'm rather limited on how heavy I can go because right now I can't afford to get any heavier weights and I can't go to a gym. I am using ankle weights and a backpack that weighs about 23 pounds for some added resistance though. I'll stick…

Again, you can make too large a deficit and I don't want to do that.
