Feel free to add me. To be honest I don’t use MfP to log my food but I use it to go on the boards to look for inspiration, new workouts, recipes, etc…. Starting weight was 284, currently as 194. Goal is 145. Getting married in October

Add me. Started 280 goal 160. I was on mfp a few years ago and got down to 205 but then lost focus and gained it back.

A spa day! Complete with getting my hair done, Mani/pedi*, massage, facial etc! & a brand new wardrobe, Possibly a cruise :)

Nope, I have actually lost only 20 of the 100 pounds I need to. And I don't know much but for the hands do you use gloves? I forgot mine once & my hands were killing me.

Thanks all!! Yes I have quickly found cycling to be very addictive! Luckily I do have a hood LBS right around the corner from me. Excited to see where this journey will take me :)

I didnt say anyone should be discluded? I simply said I personally dont count indoor miles for me because [for me] it is way easier and isnt a reflection of how far I actually go (& yes I use resistance), then asked if anyone else noticed that? You mention a difference in your mileage however its close, I am talking almost…

Your best bet is a hybrid ($400-600) Theirs no need to spend so much for a road bike ($700+) if you dont intend to bike race and on the chance you love biking a hybrid is fine for most road races. A comfort bike ($100/200) will be ok if you dont have alot of money but its not meant for alot of miles & will wear quickly.
-
I suffer from that as well. Biking & swimming are your 2 best friends if you have access to do those things.

I am doing a program called Body by You, it is a book, the female counterpart of You are Your Own Gym. It's virtually no equipment (a door or table- standards things you likely have around). I've done about 3 weeks & am really happy with it. Like you I dont have the access to a gym & limited money / space for equipment.

I am in!! 2nd: 11 miles 4th: 13 miles As far as the indoor vs outdoor cycling 'debate' i prefer out I personally dont count indoor miles but thats just me. On my indoor bike I can go 30mph on my outdoor tho I have only hit 13 mph (I just took up outdoor cycle). Anyone else notice this?

I have a new found love of cycling. I am training for my first ever race (a full century!) in september. I am trying to drop 80 lbs. got a long ways to go! Feel free to add!

Thanks everyone! To answer a few questions/clarify- i am doing the 100 mile century, I am all ready registered. The course was decribed as flat to slightly rolling. My schedual will be something alone the lines of alternating riding/ running with a rest day after 3 days so bike: run: bike: rest: run: bike: run: rest. (I am…

Anyone?

It does that because its assuming your eating the same amount of calories everyday but without the exercise. & i am assuming without the exercise you would be technically over which is why it is showing a gain. Dont pay to much attention to it.

Thanks all! This is encouraging! I just didnt want lifting to stall my weight loss which from your responses ig does not sound like it will.
-
Thanks people :) Ya I get the same weight better looking concept, but I am pretty sure it will only take me so far with so much left to lose, I mean maybe if I were close to goal that would work but still being obese I know its just not gunna happen. Its awesome though seeing same weight different bodies! So I hope noone…

If you intend to cut them out forever go for it. Its hard to cut carbs & then add them back. Dont get me wrong some people do it very successfully. Losing weight & cutting carbs dont go hand in hand tho. Losing weight & eating at a deficit do :). You can lose weight without cutting carbs. The way you go about it is up to…

Add me!

I have the same problem! && when I competitively swam for 5yrs I did the butterfly stroke & built crazy shoulder & back muscles which I thought made them look worse. Unfortunately they will not go away. I learned to embrase it! Spagetti straps make them look worse but a strapless top makes them look strong & sexy- my…

EDIT to add: if you really need to be active to feel modivated their is plenty you can do! It may seem silly at first but start doing 1 minute of jumping jacks every 5 minutes. I am doing a strength training program called body by you- its all body weight workouts (& man it burns ina good way) that you could do while your…

Hey! My sons about to be 3. I started with 100 to lose, lost 30, fell off track gained 12 back. Im a ft college student & work. The best advice i can give you is to remember that weight loss comes from calories in vs calories out. Even if you cant exercise you CAN lose weight! And remember 100lbs is alot to lose, it will…

Jillian michaels no more trouble zones. With the exception of a 5 minute cardio warmup its all stregth.

I do body by you. Its the female version of you are your own gym (their books). Its strength training basically using your own body weight. I picked it because I cant really afford the gym or have time to get their, also live in an apartment so i dont have space for very much equipment. Its about 3 months although can be…

Depends on your workout. If you doing anything that is really impacting your muscles they need time to rebuild. If your doing mostly light cardio its fine. HIIT your body needs to recover from too.

To the op amazing job But your body shape does not change. Its based on the proportions of your bone structure. The fat on your body tho can decrease & better reveil your true shape.
-
+ your lean body mass will change along the way... Your weight may go down along with fat but your lbm will go up (not just from muscle either; water, blood volume, bone mass) those things change, why overcomplicate it? Seems like your trying to make the numbers easier. At the end of the day its not about the numbers its…

Bet it wont stop you though.
