Your determination, positive attitude, and encouragement are commendable. Throughout the time I've "known" you here on MFP, you have been someone who's efforts have motivated me, simply by your example. Thanks for being my MFP bud, and congratulations! Best of luck with your continued fitness!

It's so hard to generalize because there are so many variables unaccounted for: how much weight/effort, how much rest between reps and sets, etc. When I started out on MFP, I used the estimates here. You can find them under the cardio section. I think it's 150 calories for 30 minutes. After a month, I got tired of guessing…

From day 1, I told as many people as I could. I wanted to be accountable and make sure I had that external pressure in addition to the internal motivation. Now I don't have to tell people because its obvious I've gotten leaner and stronger. I prefer the latter. :)

Per FDA info: Sugar Glider (raw) 240 calories, protein 20g, carbohydrate 9 grams, total fat 5 grams. I say go for it.

Just wanted to say a big "thank you" to all service men and women - past present and future.

I eat a cut almost every day in the morning, along with a piece of fruit and egg whites. Its a good whole grain complex carb with a low glycemic index and good fiber.

grey > dye shaving > comb over

I changed the carb protein and fat %. Other than that, no.

This. I don't plan them, they just happen. Typically they happen about onnce every 7-10 days, which I'm OK with.

I used to dislike it, but I got used to it. If you're not into waiting for that transition, or if you think it will never come, I suggest a filtered pitcher for home and/or a water bottle with a filter in it. Drink it cold as well. Or add scotch.

I had them when I ran high school track...1000 yeas ago. They suck and you really do need to let them heal. I pound my heels when I walk/run. Still do! And if I go running even now and don't consciously remember to land softer, they come back very quickly. Good running shoes and a softer landing on your heels will help. I…

I have not worn it. But I bought 20 pounds of new plates the other day for my dumbells and carried them up the stairs. I was actually shocked that I used to carry that all the time. Felt good to put them down.

You can't fool me. That's southern belle lingo for "F off, a-hole."
-
Well, damn. If that's the case then I missed out on the fun.

That's all I really wanted - a flower. And single malt scotch.

Wow - nice responses. Granted, the guy didn't do himself any favors. And I get that we're all "entertained" watching everyone eviscerate the OP, but is it really necessary? The pack mentality on these boards is brutal. I hope the kid has a thick skin.

This. But my number is more like 10. Tempis fugit.

I usually bring a small portion of leftovers from the night before as my "main" dish. On top of that I bring: Oatmeal hard boiled egg whites fruit (2-3 pieces) raw veggies unsalted almonds Greek yogurt Sometimes I bring a wrap instead of a sandwich: low carb wrap, low sodium turkey breast, fresh spinach leaves and salsa…

ePulse2

I don't like chest straps. ePulse2 is an accurate, continuous HRM/calorimter that does not require a chest strap. No complaints so far.

Cut out completely: Refined sugar Soda (diet) fried food (sautee in a little olive oil is OK) Mostly cut out but still do/eat occasionally: eating out on weekends (whenever possible) bread (Nature's Own whole grain occasionally. 50 cal/slice) pasta (still have maybe once per week, but in small portion) booze (had none for…

It may be a sign of dehydration. Do you drink enough (64 oz) of water during the day?

There was a topic last week for a "169 calorie" big bowl of noodles that included Shirataki. It looked good

I make my own, and its not very "saucy" but usually its: A little sesame or peanut oil, for flavor (2 Tbsp) Light/Low Sodium soy sauce garlic powder ginger powder If I want more liquid I add a packet of low fat, low sodium chicken broth to 1/4-1/2 cup of water and add that.

I like this guy.

Pic of me doing what I love best. It was taken right before I started packing on pounds and when I was at or near my goal weight.

I saw this topic yesterday and didn't click it becasue I didn't want an earworm. Today, a co-worker brought in bagels, muffins and donuts from D&D. As I passed the kitchen I said "Oh, man! Evil woman!" So now I have "Evil Woman" by ELO in my head.

Hiya! I'm primarily a vocalist and guitarist. I'm also a songwriter. I play piano better than guitar but I prefer guitar. I also play sax, though there's little call for it in the bands I play with. I've been in several working (part time) bands, both cover and original. The last band I was in was primarily original (few…

Show of hands, how many people checked to see if its in the database? It is, FYI. Yikes!
