Hello! I'm Sarah, I turned 22 last month... My starting weight was 190, and my current weight is 168. I'm still working on what a 'realistic' goal weight is for me.... My profile says 120-125 lbs, but I am doing strength training, so 135-140 may be more ideal. I am looking for more friends who are serious about losing…

I've lost a Cinder Block!!! I'm aiming to lose an Irish Setter!

brushing your teeth so you dont eat, is a trick that anorexics use.... When I was in treatment, we were taught that, that is VERY disordered behavior.

before, I was eating between 750 and 1000 calories a day. I got a personal trainer, and she told me to start eating 1400-1500 per day. I freaked out at first, too. But, I have consistently been losing weight and inches! Whereas, in the past, I was in a rut, not losing anything. I have trouble reaching 1500 on a daily…

Congrats! Your achievement must feel amazing! :glasses:

As a matter of fact, Topamax / Topiramate, is an anti seizure medication, that is commonly prescribed for other uses (off-label). I'm on topamax, and I have done a LOT of research on it. You can simply google the information, or ask your doctor.

I bought new work pants, and a couple of exercise shorts (the ones I was wearing before, kept slipping past my butt!) And, I got a few other pieces, here and there... However... I am NOT getting rid of my pants and shorts, from when I was at my highest weight!!! Not because I'm scared to go back, but because, when I make…

I'm glad I'm not the only one!! Ever since I started exercising 6 days a week, and hitting the weights... I've been getting bruises all over my legs and arms! I asked my trainer about it, and she said that, " bruising goes with the territory" ...whatever that means. lol.

I'm Sarah. I just turned 22. My NET Calorie goal is 1,000 calories. Which, with exercise, puts me between 1200 - 1500 kcal. I just recently changed my goal to these settings, which seems to be working much better me! Previously, I wasn't getting enough calories...... I have been using mfp for a few months now.…

Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk is pretty good! I didn't like it the first time I tried it though... I think I was expecting it to be different. more like soymilk. After the second glass though, I really enjoyed the taste. And it only has 30 calories per 8 ounce serving.

Ever since I started eating healthy, I have been spending A LOT more on food. What has really helped me, though, is..... Wal-mart Ad-Matches ANY advertised price within 20 miles. So, I go to the Mexican markets (Cardina's, El Toro...) and get their weekly ad's. I also go to the bargain stores, (Save-A-Lot) and other…

Instead of restricting your intake 6 days a week, and then binge eating 1 day a week...... I have found that it is better to eat at a ~80/20 % difference, throughout the day/week. That way, you allow yourself to have sweet/salty/alcohol/unhealthy treats, without going overboard.

For the first 20 lbs, I didn't tell anybody I was trying to lose weight. Only the people I live with knew. I lost the first 20 in about three (maybe four) months. But nobody said anything. Afterwards, I maintained for about one year... (Except, in the 12th month, I gained 5 lbs. That is what kick-started my weight loss…

Well.. ACTUALLY.... They are "girly" push-ups. Meaning, knees on the mat, and feet in the air! Maybe by the end of July, I'll be able to do a "REAL" push-up!

Thanks!

Personally, It really depends on what your goals are. Is your goal to gain weight? Lose weight? Maintain?.... If you are Gaining weight.... Absolutely, YES. Count milk as water. In fact, count any liquid with calories (besides Alcohol) as water, as well as pure H20. If your goals are to Maintain..... I suggest, YES, and…

This is from a another thread... It explains things perfectly

I log my exercise everyday! It motivates me to reach my goal of "Weekly Total Calories Burned!!"
-
32 push ups every day! (34 on Saturdays) That would equal 1,000 push-ups in the month of July!!

Another idea is to make a note on the invitations that says a donation will be made at the reception, which could fund a -local- romantic honeymoon, (if you aren't already planning on taking one, seeing as how your wedding is already out of state).... OR the donation could go towards your already planned honeymoon.…

You're Amazing!! And you're so beautiful!! Keep up the hard work!! You are a super star!!!

I've been thinking about this question, and what am I going to do for myself, when I lose the weight.... I have decided to take a trip to the Mall of America!! My goal is to lose the 44 pounds, and tone up my muscles, by next summer! It will be so much fun to fly to Minnesota with a friend, and brand new body!!

I'm excited I was able to sneak in a workout, in the last 30 minutes, before the gym closed!! I made the most of my time, working on "homework" that my trainer gave me.... I felt like this was the best 30 minute workout I've ever had!
