  • I totally forgot to post my exercice during the past week but I did not forget to do it. I am now at 15 out of 365.
  • Since I started exercising more regularly, I have more discipline and more consistency. I am applying these values to the rest of my life and I am a lot more confident than I was before. I now feel I can accomplish a lot more and push my limits even more. I can now reach goals I couldn't have just 5 years ago.
  • It was a good day today with some cleaning, some walking and a nice finding on the web. The Mayo Clinic recipes page  For tonight, we will have some curried pork tenderloin in apple cider. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/recipes/heart-healthy-recipes/rcs-20077163
  • Not accomplishing my live dream of sailing around the Caribbean or even better, the Americas.
  • My heart is not nice today, I got chest pains too early in my training. I had to walk more slowly and without any inclinations :ohwell:
  • Could you tell us why you need the wheelchair? I was in one for over a year after a car accident. My leg was severaly broken, it healed very slowly and I had a paralysis on the right side. My spin was ok but there was no way for me to use crunches. What are your limitations and why. It will be easier to help you if we have…
  • I found a recipe for a Grec yogourt cheese cake that I did this afternoon. Can't wait for tonight to try it. Thanks for the great idea, I sure am going to do this desert often
  • Can't choose only 5 either, so in no particular order... Little house on the prairie NCIS, NCIS LA Three's company Who's the boss Quantum leap Charmed M.A.S.H. Dukes of Hazard ER Sisters
  • I just finished 25 minutes on my Incline Trainer. Later today, I would like to do some Pilates and a little more incline trainer. I really must work on my cardio.
  • I just finished 25 minutes on my Incline Trainer. 8 out of 365!
  • 20 minutes on my incline trainer. My body could have done more but not my heart. In two or three months, I hope I will finish the trail completly without changing the speed so often. 7 out of 365
  • Thanks for thinking about us  Hey everyone, I am an hour away from Montreal, Quebec. I am a survivor from a car accident and had 3 heart attacks so far. Hope it is the end of it  I am a sailor but I have several bodily issues such as a very partial paralysis, a problem in my spinal cord that is waiting to be…
  • I have a lower blood pressure too and I take 2 tablespoons in the morning sometimes. I have no problem because of that and since I take a large glass of water with it, my gi track is in better shape. I haven't been taking them for some time now and I feel bloated. Guess it is time to buy some again. Try them, if you feel…
  • I agree that a lot of people seem to have been offended by the original question and I appreciate the fact that Dave responded to his question by summarizing what he had learned. I totally was offended by some responses though, Mr. Adambro really needs to take a good look in the mirror and learn how to be compassionate.…
  • As I said before, I cannot run do to my disability. To work my cardiovascular system, I use the inclinations. By doing so, I work my cardio, my legs and at the end of a 30 minutes trail going uphill, I am dripping with sweat. Am I cheating by holding on to the handrails? Maybe but I am still working hard enough to need a…
  • Some people are so quick to judge even when they have the facts written in big letters in front of them. The op wanted to learn from this tread and he sure did. As for the others, I guess they are blinded by their sanctomonious truth.
  • Thanks Dave!!! It is nice to know that this tread has had a positive impact on someone. I use to be a gymnast and a dancer in my teens before having the car accident that caused my deficiencies. I miss the atheltic body I use to have and the ability it had to move around so freely.
  • I laught a lot when I saw the ops message but you are so right. I live near Montreal in Quebec and I am aware of the risks of driving in an area when you are not prepared.
  • Who are you talking about?
  • If getting up for a glass of water is difficult and you get winded, do it more often!!  Seriously, when I first stared my exercise program back in March 2009, I would lie down on my bed and do leg raises for about 5 minutes and I was done. Couldn't move anymore. After a month or two of working out on my bed…
  • I have to hold on to those rails, I have a partial paralysis on my right side. When you are walking on the sidewalk, your space is not as limited as the one on the treadmill.
  • So well said    Dude, if you are not challenging yourself, your body, then no, you are not exercising. I remember a time when my back was in so much pain that just walking to the fridge was a huge exercise. Stop judging and smell the coffee. There is life around you and it is not always easy.
  • Greek yogourt cheesecake... Great idea, thanks!!!
  • I am 46, I had a serious car accident when I was 19. I have a motor deficiency. I can walk but can not run. My metabolism slowed down in my late 30's. I am not that fat but I still want to loose some 15 pounds, get stronger as quickly as I can but my body doesn't want to cooperate. It is always in pain. You know that kick…
  • I have a very partial paralesys on my right side. You have to look at me very hard to notice it. I loose my balance when I walk too slowly or too quickly. I need some space around me to feel comfortable. I don't have that space on a treadmill so I hold on to the rails. My treadmill has inclinations as high as 40%. When I…
  • Thanks
  • Today is clean up day. I had renovations done right before Christmas we are doing the final clean up. Hubby did the hard work and I did what I could. Next stop, his room which hasn't really been cleaned yet.
  • I did an easier trail on the treadmill with some calisthenic work. I am now off to do my stretching :flowerforyou: 5 out of 365 or 1 out of 73
