  • This is great news! Keep it up & congrats on the big lost in such a small amount of time!
  • I am vegetarian as well and I eat nuts (sparingly), granola bars & chobani yogurts have 12-13g of protein ALONE! You can find a lot of protein in hemp and flax seeds (for your smoothies), chickpeas-yum! Spinach, peas, broccoli and different kinds of beans. Some cheeses are pretty high in protein as well. Hope this helps!…
  • This is what I am thinking...are you putting in each ingredient (for your sandwich) in the database? 2 slices of bread, condiments, amount of meat, veggies, etc. What about your dinner and dessert? You should put everything in individually and see if your calorie intake changes
  • Thinking about weight loss in linear terms will only bring disappointment and loss of motivation. Put your weight, height and goal in MFP and start with 1lb a week..follow the calorie restriction & set your lifestyle to sedentary. That way, if you work out 1, 2 ,3+ times a week, you could possibly lose more than 1lb a…
  • When I wake up, my calorie burn is about ~450, if I stayed in bed ALL DAY, I would burn 1816
  • I am a "bored/mindless" eater myself so I identify with your plight. When watching a movie, I don't have to be hungry to eat (it's just an oral fixation that I need) so now I am starting to chew gum or drink hot tea. These are items that slow down how fast you eat them and satisfy your need to mindlessly eat. I don't allow…
  • Granola fills me (but be careful of calories--shoot for lowfat granola), a hearty soup and multi-grain bread, nuts, fiber bars, fruits (fiber and water)...if you eat meat, try chicken, beef and low-cal fish recipes.
  • I slacked on fitness so I am looking forward to being active at least twice a week for 40 minutes.
  • Congrats on your current weight loss! That's amazing!
  • Hi Sage, I'm Shemika & I am 5'10 and is starting on this journey again myself. I understand the struggle but we have to take it a day at a time. Are you vegan? I am pescatarian and loves vegan food (I have a vegan cookbook). I'm going to send friend request!
  • I'm currently on 1500/1490 and I am losing weight...I am taking my time because some days i want to eat more but 1500 works very well for me and I am on a 1.5lb/week loss according to MFP. If you want to start at 1300/1350 that's OK too.
  • I never joined a challenge but I need the motivation! I'm all in!
  • Whole Fruit Bars 60-70 cals per bar! Luigi's Italian Ice (60 cals a cup for no sugar) (100 cals a cup for sugar added) Some granola and yogurt mixed and/or cups of strawberries!
  • I have a problem with sweets as well...it's so sad-I don't have any "Stop!" in me when it comes to Ice cream. I know my weakness so I don't buy ice cream that is bigger than a pint. I enjoy cookies and cake like the next person but I have to say "no thank you" sometimes and that's OK. Plus, I don't want Diabetes when I get…
  • Whole Fruit Bars! My absolute favorite! The strawberry frozen fruit bar is 70 Calories and the Mango is 60 calories! Sooo good! They also come in Black Cherry Bars and they offer all flavors in pints! Please get them-they are reasonably priced and guilt-free
  • You still have to get those good nutrients as well! Watching how much salt you take in, fat and if you want to feel full, eat foods that are high in protein. If you consume junk that doesn't have high protein (which is very easy to find), you won't feel full and you will just eat more!
  • Yes!! Congrats! Keep it going!
  • I just fast from 12am yesterday to 8am today and it wasn't too bad. Of course I craved and wanted foods but I didn't budge. I drank a lot of water and this morning I felt great. I still feel great. I ate some oranges and peanut butter this morning and just came back from a walk after cleaning my apartment. I feel good :)
  • I absolutely ABSOLUTELY hate push-ups! I can't ever achieve good form & it sucks!
  • You look absolutely amazing! Congrats!
  • It's pretty late in the day but JFT I am going to drink at least 3 more cups of water and do some yoga tonight! Thanks for the motivation!
  • I didn't--such a busy day--but I'm back it at in the morning! Hopefully it's less windy here in Western IL.
  • Starting is always difficult because it feels like you are starving but you're not. Eat foods that you enjoy but just in moderation. Eat foods that are rich in fiber and protein to keep you full. You can eat your ice cream, brownies and chips but control the serving. You will be so happy and feel so victorious when you…
  • I want to look better, get out of the obese BMI, look and feel good and maintain the attention of my loverboy :)..also, I wouldn't mind being that girl that runs on the beach and looks good doing it! Oh! && I want to fit into my old jeans!!!
  • I crave candy! So recently, I had snicker bars and twizzlers before my normal dinnertime but I ended up eating way more than intended so I skipped dinner that night....and I was perfectly fine with that :)
  • OMG! You give me hope! You look Awesome! Great Job!
  • This is awesome! Bye Bye Back Pudge!
  • Yes! I painfully log my bad days now, along with my after midnight munchies. It helps me to plan for the next day and once I realize how much damage I did the day before (or 12:30a), I eat better the day after! Eventually it should all balance out with the goals for the week. If you have 12000 calories for an entire week,…
  • How accurate are those heart monitors? I wanted to purchase one but when browsing through the posts, I read that the monitors give a false number for calories burned. Safe bet: I would still just eat half of cals burned.
  • I agree! I think you might be losing elsewhere and your stomach is now more noticeable than before. Don't fret and keep up the hard work!
