MFP says I should be eating 45g of protein a day and I'm typically coming in at about half that unless I really make an effort to specifically eat more protein. I JUST noticed that there were groups on here haha! I don't know where I've been all this time but I did just see the Happy Herbivores group and I'm totally going…

I'm transitioning to a vegan diet and I'm almost all the way there. I'm trying to loose about 15-20 pounds but since I started switching over to vegan I haven't notice much a weight change either. I notice I go over on sugar almost everyday from fruits and I find trying to get enough protein has been pushing me over on my…

I feel the same exact way!

No offense at all, Im definitely not trying to start an argument but I couldn't disagree more. If you do your research you will see all the benefits of becoming vegan. I totally support easing yourself into it. It is a change but it's really not SO hard. The less meat and dairy you consume the better (for everyone…

I am in the process of becoming vegan. I eat mostly vegan but allow myself cheat days with dairy just because it's pretty hard to phase them out especially when you're out and about but when I'm cooking at home I have NO problem staying vegan. It can definitely help you loose weight because if you're phasing out cheese and…

Starting weight: 140. Let's do this!

The 30 Day Shred ALWAYS kicks my *kitten*, no matter how much weight I want to lose. I always do it for 10 days and then move on. I modify all the time. To be honest if I didn't move on until I could do every single move I would never move on. Hah! Also I tend to get bored by day 10. But then again I've done the shred a…

Sounds cool. Let's do this!

I'm on my second round of 30DS and I say you can absolutely do it! There are modifications for "beginners" and if you get super exhausted you can always pause for a second and then jump right back in. Don't be scared....they're very basic movements but let me tell you you definitely see results! I recommend taking before…

Well....I can see how that comment would hurt your feelings but he of course had no idea. If I were you and you really like him I would let it slide for right now. Wait until you guys get to know each other better and start talking about more intimate details about yourselves. Then you can tell him about your story. That…

For what I hear almond milk can be substituted in a lot of baked items. So I would guess that it would be your best bet but honestly I have no idea? Sorry! :( Good luck!

I don't know much about this at all but my opinion would be to eat however many calories MFP tells you to and keep up your regular exercising schedule. Regardless of what happens in the near future with your weight you will be eating and exercising in a healthy manor and your body's metabolism and weight so level itself…

So today is my final and 27th day. I went ahead and did my "final" measurements since I'll be vacation for the next few days and I know I'm going to do some splurging so I wanted to see where the shred really took me throughout our 27 days together. Overall I have lost 7 pounds. I got on the scale this morning and…

Just finished day 26! Unfortunately tomorrow will be my last day! I'll be stopping 3 day shy of the full 30 days. I'm going camping for 4 days and won't be able to do it at all and I don't really see what the point is in doing 3 more days after I've taken such a significant break from it. I will say I feel SO much stronger…

I just woke up after starting level 3 yesterday and my abs are soreeeeeee! This is the first time that I've actually felt sore after one of the workouts. Or maybe it's just the first time my abs have ever been sore :) Either way I think it's a good thing!

Just finished my first day at level 3. I loved not having to do level 2 again! New music, new moves, I got into it a whole lot more. Jillian talks up level 3 so much like it's going to absolutely kill you. Don't get me wrong my muscles were burningggg and it was a great workout but in the warm up Jillian scares you a…

So I am moving onto Level 3 today! Technically I should do level 2 ONE more time and then move on but I just can't. I'm so over it. Now that I'm on a bit of a time crunch to finish this thing I feel I should go ahead and move onto level 3. If i can just get 10 days of level 3 fit into 7 days I'll be a happy camper. The…

I don't even have knee problems but I found myself having to modify all of the plank exercises, like the plank jacks and then burpee type ones too. My knees did not enjoy them at all so I stuck with Anita for all of those and it definitely helped.

I have to admit, the more I do level 2 the more I hate it. I hate the last circuit and I am OVER all of the planks. I really do feel a difference in my abs but I just hate doing it. I've fell a little behind and I am determined to be done with the shred by June 16th which means I have 9 days to finish 13(?) days worth. I…

Maybe you're circling too fast?? Personally I haven't noticed feeling any different during the neck circles. Some days i do feel light headed when I stand up from the ab workout or any of the other ones on the floor. Sometimes before I can jump into the next exercise I have to just wait until my head comes all the way back…

1. So far I really like it! I feel like I can really feel myself getting stronger. My favorite part is that it's only 25 minutes long. Each exercise is only like 30 seconds long so before you know it it's over! 2. It just so happens that I will finish the shred right before I leave for an annual camping trip with a tons of…

Just finished Day 1 Level 2! I have to say in general I thought it really wasn't that bad. A LOT of plank work which I have never been good at. I thought the last circuit was the hardest. By the end I was just pooped! Those plank jumping jacks are crazy! I can't even imagine what parts of me are going to be sore tomorrow.…

GOOD MORNING fellow shredders! I am so happy to say I am finally feeling better today! I have taken the last 4 days off from the shred and each and every day I have become just a little more depressed about it. I am happy to say that eventho I was sick I still stayed within my calories and I somehow magically lost 3 pounds…

Ok so today is Sunday and I said I would finally weigh myself and do my measurements. I'm technically on day 11 which means I should start level 2 today. Not gonna lie tho....I've been sick and I didn't work out yesterday or the day before. But I've decided I'm just going to skip those days and move onto level 2 (hopefully…

My advice is that you've got to get up and start taking control!! This is YOUR life and it can be however you want it to be! You can do ANYTHING you want! So start making some steps in the right direction. You don't have to do everything at once. Day 1 start by getting up, taking a shower, eating a healthy breakfast, and…

I have to say it's a relief to hear not everyone has lost weight yet. I haven't lost a single pound but I plan on taking my measurements tomorrow and I just know they will be different. I already look and feel better :) I'm also a bit frustrated because yesterday I really started to feel like I'm coming down with…

Jumping rope is an EXCELLENT work out! They say jumping rope for 10 minutes is the equivalent of running like 4 miles or something crazy! I think the only way to get better is just by doing it more and more. Practice makes perfect! Just keep it up and I'm sure you'll be able to jump for longer and longer.

I have to tell you that both of my parents, both in their 50's and both overweight and extremely out of shape started right off with P90X. You're not going to be able to do the entire video just like the instructors do. Heck I can't and I'm only 25 and only relatively out of shape. They show you tons of modifications and…

I have it! I know almost NO ONE else with it and I feel it really does make a difference in losing weight. I feel like I watch a lot of my friends just slightly adjust their eating habits or fitness routines and immediately see a difference. I feel like I really have to put in a LOT of effort to see a difference. All in…
