  • @CharlieBeansmomTracey - I am truly sorry you had such a bad experience with Keto. I am also glad you've discovered your underlying health issue, and have hopefully found a way of eating and living in which you thrive. <3 I am certain there are many diets that would be contraindicated for people with any number of health…
  • Just to expound a bit on that point, ketone bodies - ketones, produced as a waste by product during ketosis, as well as during illness/fever- have neuroprotective properties! So if someone says Keto doesn't have the power to cure disease, it looks as if they may be entirely mistaken.
  • I have lost over 20 lbs on Keto since just before Mother's Day. Keto only, no exercise. I will admit, I was desperate. Nothing else was working for me. I had just turned 45 and started at 174 lbs. I would lose and regain the same 5-10 lbs over and over and over again working out and counting calories and/or carbs. With…
  • Thank you all for your replies. Lisa and Jen, thank you SO MUCH! I would not say that I worked out strenuously, but it was a moderately work out. I did exert, for sure. I will probably keep going back, because I have been doing Body Pump for 2 years, other than the almost 4 months I missed due to the MC. But I will back…
  • Be sure you are adequately hydrated, Dehydration will make the uterus more prone to cramping/contracting.
  • If you found out that you were pregnant on 4/06, then you are at least 9 weeks pregnant. Probably 11 or so, if you tested when your period was due. ;) I am 7 weeks pregnant, and I am exercising as much as I can. I do body pump, step, yoga, body combat and occasionally zumba. I am 170, and still trying to stay under my…
  • Well, you could always just wait and see when they figure it out on their own. ;) LOL! But seriously, congrats! I think if you are excited and welcoming of this new little addition to your family, your other children will begin to share in it, too. And just think - you will understand very well how quickly it all goes by,…
  • Congrats!!!! Welcome to FF&P!
  • If you started out fit, and are maintaining good eating and exercise habits, you really need to not worry about the number on the scale. Your body will gain the proper amount for you, reserving what it needs to grow a healthy baby and to sustain you through the work of birth and the postpartum period.
  • I just found out that I am expecting baby #9 in late January. Our family is very excited and hoping that everything goes smoothly. My youngest will be 4 when the new one arrives, which is our biggest gap. The others are all around 2 years apart. I'm an older mom at 41 years old. I plan to continue with all of my workouts,…
  • You are where you are today. No one can go back to how fit they were 10 years or even 10 days ago. It's what you do with today, and when you get there, tomorrow that matters. It's much easier to just do nothing. You should be proud of yourself for making positive changes and following through. Chin up! You can do this!
  • So true! Thank you! So great to connect again!!!! And thank you for the inspiration, BCSMama! Great job!!!
