  • My favorite so far has been "are you sure your body can take running" yes i am pretty sure it can take running since not running is what got me into this in the first place. I have since done two 5ks and signed up for a half marathon... where to be honest my goal is not to die.
  • Have you considered running a marathon? having that as a goal might help?
  • if this really is just not a normal feeling for you, i would consult your doctor. I would also try to vary your routine a bit, it sounds like you are in a rut. Maybe go out on a "date" with the husband the next day he has off. even a walk in a park is a date (and excercise ;) )
  • A friend of mine rented one from her gym. it might be cheaper than buying one.
  • I have two goals.. the first one when reached, i am treating myself to Lasik. and the second one i havent decided on the treat althou my BF mentioned going to a tropical island somewhere.
  • My doctor told me to vary the amount of calories i take in. For example one day eat 1600 and the next 1200? The way she simplified it for me was that it makes your metabolism work, otherwise it will adjust to what you do everyday and keep you status quo. I hope this helps. She also told me to cut out fruit juices or only…
  • I am in the same boat with my boyfriend. He doesnt mind getting healthier but doesnt want to put the work of counting calories in. So i count mine, keep junk food out of the house and he has been losing weight and looking healthier since the beginning. We eat dinner together but not breakfast or lunch.
  • I have done the Biikram Hot Yoga and had mixed feelings about it. I loved it because i felt like i was working out and it didnt make my knee hurt. I didnt like it because althou i did feel relaxed, i was pretty tired if i did it in the mornings and if you dont drink enough water you might get sick (i know i spent the…
  • My thoughts are thats a great idea. I have gone back and forth with seeing one. Let us know how it goes..
  • I am sorry that you are in a frustrating situation. But i will say that as a child i was "talked" to about my weight and how much i ate all the time (funny i was a normal sized child when this started) and all it did was encourage me to make bad decisions when the person who was so "concerned" wasnt around because i didnt…
  • I go up or down <2 lbs or so each day. It is water weight but to be honest its pretty natural. I wouldnt worry about 1-3 pounds however if you suddenly gain like 5 pound i would start re-evaluate how you are eating and excercising.
  • Hilarious!
  • I know how this sounds and believe me i never believed anyone when they said this to me until recently. Are you eating enough? If you aren't your body kinda shuts down your metabolism and you stop burning fat. Instead it starts storing as much as possible. Another thing you might be looking at is, the muscle you are…
  • I have to have snacks throught the day. I usually go with Low calorie string cheese, apples, banannas, oranges, carrots, celery and sometimes i bring a sparkling water to spice things up. :glasses: and LOTS of water, when i start feeling snacky i drink a glass of water and then decide if i am hungry.
