I go to http://insanitycalories.com/ to give me an average calories burned. That way I can keep things balanced better. Probably doesn't give a perfect number, but it has worked for me. However, you're going to feel famished either way -- insanity won its name for good reason. :)

Oh, I"m sure we all have some serious orations we could pull from memory, but typically we know when we're binging on something unhealthy. It's the times that we're surprise attacked by this kind of crap that really irks me. ...like the time I ate the Caesar Salad at Carrabbas...

The treadmill combines both your heart rate (if it has that feature) and speed to make it's calculation. You probably slowed down enough at times for it to adjust to 600 calories. You can change the amount of calories instead of having to adjust the time.

I have just a few of pieces of advice. 1. Spread your meals out over the course of a day if possible. Make sure that you don't go more than 3 or 4hrs without eating something.
