Calories?

Ok, so I have somewhat of a stupid question. But I thought I would ask anyway. I worked out on the treadmill this afternoon for an hour. According to the tracker on MFP when I plug in 60 minutes on the treadmill it says I burned 677, but actually when I was working out on the machines, the machine read 600 calories. So, I guess my question is which do I go by? I only put that I worked out for 55 minutes since it was the closest to 600 calories. I hope I'm making since and not just babbling on : )
Thanks for listening!

The treadmill combines both your heart rate (if it has that feature) and speed to make it's calculation. You probably slowed down enough at times for it to adjust to 600 calories. You can change the amount of calories instead of having to adjust the time.0
