Doing good non-knee push ups.

I love spinning, retro aerobics classes, zumba and Bodypump! I'm not confident about my form when lifting weights and find classes like bodypump really helpful.

I've had mine for about a year. Replaced watch batteries and got an extra strap. I use it more for checking I don't get my heart rate too high rather than calories, but it's very useful for both.

I did it last year and ran a (very slow) 5k at the end of it. One of the best things I ever did.

I'm Asian. I don't low carb, but I've successfully substituted cauliflower 'rice' for regular rice. http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-cauliflower-rice-couscous-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-203344 Weighing out portion sizes for rice really helps. You can also try substituting with a more nutritious grain or one that's…

I found joining classpass really helped me. I really enjoy doing different things and I've gone from someone who hates exercise and finds it boring to someone who works out 5x a week. Varied music playlists helps me too. Now working out is the main time I listen to music and I clear about an hour a week to run and listen…

'Rebounding'. I've worn an hrm while doing a class - it burns about 10 cals/min for me.

I'm 5'2. I've lost about 16lbs, halfway through my 30lbs goal. I workout 5-6 x a week too. I find working out helps me eat a reasonable amount of food including social eating etc.
-
I did a hot yoga (based on Bikram) and wore a Polar HRM. 372 cals for 90 minutes. I'm 140lbs if that helps. For a non-hot slow flow yoga I burned 198 cals in 80 minutes.

Book it. I booked my 5K as soon as I started c25k to keep me motivated. It doesn't matter if you run the 5k really slowly or walk.

Add me! I try to log everyday.

I plateau at the same weight every time. It takes me a lot longer to lose weight than many people and I also get annoyed sometimes. It's crap but I figure it's okay overall. Don't weigh yourself as regularly and if you're just coming off vacation or whatever, carry on with your normal weight-loss routine for a couple more…

Hey, you can add me. I had knee pain too after I started to work out. I had to slow it down and do mostly walking first and other low-impact stuff, then gradually added other kinds of exercise in. Lost about 13lbs since Christmas!

2.56 miles today. 19.06 miles. Still on my way to frogmorton.

I'm as 1200. I'm 5'2. I eat back most of my exercise calories which makes it doable. Without exercise I feel like I can eat barely anything. With about an hour of exercise each day I'm able to go out and eat socially, snack, a cupcake sometimes, etc. I cook not just for myself so I'm not eating any kind of special diet (I…

Just wanted to add that there might be a women's only or a plus-size gym in your area you could check out. I'm easily intimidated but I found I really like our local ywca gym. I tried it on a day pass before committing to it. Some gyms give you a free day pass and if you hate the atmosphere you can just walk out. I second…

So far I've gone 16.5miles. I'm headed to Frogmorton.

sworkit app! And check out blogilates. I'm going through some of her 30 day challenges and she's got a workout calendar you can follow too. I recently got a hula hoop. It's fun and is a decent cardio workout.
-
There's a c25k for the treadmill: http://www.c25k.com/c25k_treadmill.html
-
I tried to do it but there's too many jumping jacks for apartment living.

so inspirational!

The CDC guidelines suggest at least 150 minutes moderate cardio a week and strength training 2x a week.

I agree with Adc7225. I realised I was eating way too much sugar but not enough protein or fat or anything else and that was hurting my progress. I have a 'cheat' day once a week, but I like to have it on a day that I'm working out a lot so I can eat what I want and still meet my calorie limit or if I overshoot it, it's…

@spartan_d: I don't agree with your interpretation of it. To me are you beach ready, with the helpful image of the model definitely suggests that there's a certain type of body that is beach ready. You're right that we already implicitly acknowledge and accept what that type of body is. There should be no reason why any of…

I think one of the things that annoys people about it is it's everywhere...I feel I can't escape it. It's at every exit at the tube stations I use the most. It's in the trains. It stares at me when I go about my day, when I go to the gym, or spinning class, or to dinner. To say it's jealousy/bitterness/PC-gone-wild ignores…

Add me too!

Hi. Add me! My diet isn't the best but I try to log every day and workout.

@Franci27 That's helluva expensive. I gotta eat the beef before it goes off or it'll be a waste of food, but I'll factor it in and the rice too - a kilogram of rice is 45p at tescos. A bag of flour is 45p. If I factor in the beef...I spent £4.12 on a 750g joint of beef last week. I guess I'll be using half of it for the…

@ruthie3110 : I like the Oatly chocolate milk and I get it in bulk when it's on offer - 3 for £3. I really love the Ecomel almond milk though, and that's pretty expensive. Here's what I got from the local market today: carrots: £1 tomatoes: £1 mangetout: £1 satsumas: 50p. I kinda feel like I'm cheating a bit because I have…

I'm also not giving up my coffee. I have it with whole milk and a teaspoon of sugar. I've tried it with different kinds of things like creamer, nut milks, etc. But nothing tastes quite right like real milk.
