  • Bula vinaka, Malo e lelei, Talofa, Ia Ora na and welcome back to MFP Resh! As an indigenous Pacific-islander who is India-born, I am well aware of the distinct differences between foreign-influenced dishes to the region [eg British [+ AUS/NZ/Can], French, Asia-Eastern, Asia-SE, Asia-South, Asia-West Vs Pacifica tribal…
  • I enjoy simple & light dinners - usually a loaded bound-style salad (oven-roasted/oven-baked or fresh low-carb greens) or a loaded soup/stew, sometimes with eggs depending on my need@refueling, preferably with low-carb veggies plus ingredients like the 2 below: * Chicken, turkey, lamb or beef meatballs * Legumes & beans…
  • I'm not the least bit surprised you relate  Absolutely appreciated his raw truth telling accounts, which depicted its realities less the glamourised retells a la select portrayals on the big/small screen.
  • Me too. For this genre, opting for "Just Mercy" over "Queen & Slim" did not disappoint.
  • Blend ins of people in horrifying exact ensembles to a couch, a carpet, a train interior, walls ... My sister chose to torture me with them  refusing to be left to it on her own.
  • Today's snack time choice has been all about good 'ole grapefruit, which is a high toll for me, for I've just not taken a liking to them as does the majority of my family.
  • Rrride or die. For its genre, the quality didn't depreciate, where some other franchises have done. Confess that I find it shocking that some opted for this Vs Cretton's "Just Mercy" where Jamie Foxx clearly outdid himself, as did Michael B Jordan, which would've been a more appropriate choice for MLK day. Pity.
  • Last watched Schmidt's "The Witcher" and Hirst's "Vikings" more than a fortnight ago, both of which did not disappoint.
  • Clint Emerson's "The Right Kind of Crazy: My Life as a Navy SEAL, Covert Operative and Boy Scout from Hell."
  • Very recently, [last weekend] I'd finished watching - Gideon Raff's "The Spy" starring Sacha Baron Cohen with my sister @777Gemma888 Highly recommended.
  • Germany's H & N's "L.A." https://youtu.be/bMSA1dsLd-Q
  • Am doing laundry later than usual this Sunday. Returned home later than usual after the church service, dining out with friends before we continue with what we each have planned for ourselves & family for Christmas.
  • Belated Happy Birthday to you @snowflake954 ... Wishing you many more years of good eats, good health, happiness and love!
  • Seeing your favourite childhood bites and the memories they conjured ... Thank you ever so much!
  • Our childhood memories. Your account has me thinking that I can't for the life of me, ID what the hot beverage drinking bowl many of us would drink from when amongst relatives in the villages, not that that was how we enjoyed our milo from the usual universally recognised mug.
  • I miss soursop jam so so much at seeing that image ... with a fresh loaf, generously buttered plus freshly brewed homemade chai tea OMG.
  • I especially enjoyed this with traditional bhuja mix. Now realise that the flavour was too sweet for my palate even then, where I'd needed to qualify it as a savoury ice cream by adding the snack blend.
  • We're bad!
  • Caught up with the board activity as much as I can manage before winding down to revising DIY fabric placemats & serviettes.
  • Plain ole oatmeal is a Friendly. Having baked batches of lactation chocolate chip cookies in the past 2 months with my sister for a friend whose nursing her newborn, a foe it most certainly isn't IMO. I prefer mine savoury. My sister prepares mine with cardamom, cinnamon, cream cheese and berries.
  • Winding down after watching "Maluma: What I was, What I am, What I will be," with my sister.
  • Welcome to the thread jc4meandu! If it's solely for myself, I do quite enjoy cooking (soups, stews, one pan roasts, on the grill and salads). For family and friends, even catering, I prefer to take directions, as an assistant to the lead in the kitchen, not at all opposed to maintaining a clear and clean kitchen as we work…
  • * Rainfall * Birds * South American Tribal - Wind instruments * Pacifica Tahitian Drums * Babies
  • At seeing your goal (ie lean muscle), "The guide to get you started on your path to sexypants" is a good start@tips.
  • A friend is a nursing 1st-time Mum, who eats above 2,800 calories for she's big and tall, heavily reliant on lactation cookies. My sister (@777Gemma888) and I prepared chocolate chip cookie dough in batches which she bakes for herself, for her cookie jar refills as needed. She insists that those very cookies have boosted…
  • Welcome KayKahl. Kindly look up complete/whole vegan protein foods.
  • Maintenance always is low-impact which I don't count: Flexibility routines Workout proper is TWICE daily, in the AM and in the PM (evening), 5 days a week.
  • Firstly reassess your eating plan (eg Proteins 1g/lb, Carbs 1.5g/lb, Fats 0.5g/lb) then look up volleyball, high jump, long jump and speed drills + strength, power & conditioning routines.
  • Every other week, conversing amongst friends most of whom are mothers, will sometimes rouse subjects like today's for example - Who would you cast for a hypothetical Simone Biles movie? As aunts of girls who are gymnastics enthusiasts we both seriously threw in who we'd consider. I thought Jazz Raycole for the role, only…
