Another one - edamame Not sure if it's really a veg, but makes a good finger-food snack hot or cold

Brussels Sprouts are good if you like cabbage. I steam mine, but you can also roast in the oven after tossing with some Balsamic Vinegar.

I'll take a pic tonight. It won't be glamour. It will take some courage for me to post.

My motivation is to improve my medical numbers - blood pressure, A1C, cholesterol, and triglycerides. My doctor told me that losing weight is the best way to make these health improvements.

Our family named our trucks more than cars...Won Ton for the one-ton pickup, Black Betty for the black pickup, Angel for the white pickup, Red Sled for the red pickup. The cars were more based on the make/model than color...Box for the Scion XB, Lesbaru for the Subaru, etc.

Lately, it's been probiotic plain yogurt w/frozen berries and a packet of TruVia sweetener. On the weekends, usually eggs & turkey sausage. I make my own from lean ground turkey, spices and chicken broth. Then I form into 2 oz. patties, cook and freeze. Ready when I am. Dark roast coffee, a must for me.

It's very inspiring to read your stories, about weight loss, BMI reduction, goals, and activities. I have been controlling my pre-diabetes with diet, although not losing much weight. I lost…

Keep yourself busy. Boredom can lead to overeating. Walking with a walker or crutches when you can only use one leg can be a workout in itself. When I broke my leg, I had my husband load up a small cooler that I could keep by my recliner. He put healthy snacks like yogurt, raw veggies, V8, fruit and bottled water in the…

I had a similar injury in Feb. 2010. I slipped on ice and broke my lower right leg in three places, the bi-lateral fracture and, also a broken tibia. Needless to say it was a long recovery, and I couldn't drive either. My favorite activities pre-injury were hiking, distance walking, treadmill and aerobic classes. My doctor…
