That's fantastic, I can see a huge difference and apart from the change in size you look about ten years younger! Caring for people is tough ( I did it with my parents) - i find it really inspiring that you've managed to look after yourself too!

Go to a physio, and if you can find one that specializes in sports injuries even better. They'll strap you up with tape to take pressure off your knee; work out why you are getting the injury (in my case it's because my glutes aren't strong enough and my quads are too strong) and give you exercises and a program to set you…

apple sponge is a big hit in our house...stew the apples and make the cake mixture at the same time then pour the mixture onto the hot apple and bake it as if it was a cake - the steam helps it rise and it's very very good!

I get something similar and I normally hold the ankle of my tight knee behind my back while standing on my other foot, which stretches my thigh muscles and seems to help - if I cant get enough of a stretch I pull my leg further back while still trying to keep my torso upright :)

I got really crunchy knees and it turned out to be anemia.... so it is probably worth getting yourself a blood test and making sure your iron levels are ok. OK I've been doing it for 4 weeks now and I would really recommend it. I don't do the food bit (I'm veggie) but I eat about 1800 cals a day (give or take) which I reckon is about 200 cals less than I burn (give or take) - my body fat ratio has dropped, so have my hip measurements (by about 5 cm) and my abs have got loads…
