So glad this was asked, Ive always wanted to go kayaking but nervous at same time. This is answering some of my question since Im a big gal too. Day 4: pedometer problems but walked 60 mins so going to go with 6,000 steps today at the suggestion 5 mins = aprox 500 steps.

Ugh! First day logging for this and my pedometer app didnt work. I walked 30 mins equaling 1.6 miles...dont know the # of steps took :( I only know the miles b/c I walked same route all last summer and fall.

Yes, but if its way below her TDEE couldnt it stall her? As in put her body in starvation and slow the loss? Im asking for my own benefit as well. Really need to know your TDEE I guess to answer for her better.

@findingamy: thanks for the advise, I hope to get up to more miles walking like you. Right now I'm walking 1.6 miles a day. It's all I have time for, I do it on my breaks at work. I'm trying to figure out a way to add more. I think right now I'm going to concentrate on logging better, Esp on weekends. I do good during week…

May I ask what your height is? Also did you just count calories? What was your daily calorie goal(s)? If you exercised, what did you do? I agree this site is too quiet!!!! I was walking in Charleston too on my breaks but stopped over winter and need to start backl. I only get a half hour lunch so I take my 15 min breaks and go twice a day. About a mile each break. So need to get motivated tho, I dont like going alone and the people I work with was doing it…

Do you get breaks? At my job I get two 15 min breaks a day and a 1/2 hour lunch, I didnt use to take my breaks but then decided if my coworkers can use it to smoke, talk on phone etc then I can use mine too! During the work week I eat 1 boiled egg, 1 piece of bacon and 1 wheat toast w 1tbsp butter and a diet coke.
