Popped you a friend request as many of my friends are now inactive on here as I abandoned MFP and recently came back to it! I could really do with some support on here to help not give up again, maybe we can help each other out! I'm a university student so most of my day is spend sedentary studying history at my desk and…

Yes - so long as it was relatively safe and a lot of people had tried it out before me/I'd already swam in it! Would you ever join a rigid weight-loss bootcamp?

Then, do it. At the end of the day your motivation relies purely on yourself and your determination to better yourself, all the will and support in the world off others and all the good intentions are useless if you're going to cheat yourself in secret which, we've all fell victim to before and tried to justify it. You can…

I have the same problem. I wouldn't eat more calories earlier in the day though just in case for whatever reason I wasn't able to complete my workout, it seems a bit risky to me although I suppose it's extra motivation to get up and go! The way I try and get around it is by not making myself eat calories for the sake of it…

Cutting out bread (I swapped Warbutons medium thickness white loaf to Nimble's 51cal per slice loaf for when I was desperate for a toast fix!), swapping whole fat milk to 1% milk and swapping cheese (for flavour) to herbs and spices has helped me cut back a lot of calories.

I like a grabbable butt - as in, if every time I see it I just need to give it a grab because it looks so peachy, it's perfection! That isn't the first thing I notice when looking at a guy though, it's more of a thing I come to appreciate when in a long-term relationship for obvious reasons. Plus, it's very hard for a guy…

That's encouraging! I try not too chew it too often because I have a bone condition and the extra strain can make my jaw ache for much longer/much more than it usually would in another person withotu me realising when I'm actually doing it! It is a great way to save from boredom-eating though and it honestly makes me so…

Just a basic one but I had a go at making baked potato with low fat cottage cheese, spring onions, paprika and pepper for lunch and toast (nimble, 50cal per slice, best bread I've found for dieting!) topped with low fat caramelised onion humous. Delicious! :D

I'm not vegetarian because of animal welfare, I just don't like the texture of meat and the taste of fish. Feel free to add me though so long as you're not the type to preach 24/7 about how eating meat is evil (if I enjoyed eating it, I would but I respect those who chose not to).

I should have probably added that I might start this next month depending on how the jogging challenge goes hence my reason for the post!
-
I'm currently doing a 30 day jogging challenge so will see how that goes before starting anything else - let me know how it goes though!

I once got a kindly, whispered word from a gym attendant saying that the colour of my sweat was upsetting people - I had shocking pink hair and the dye was making my neck/forehead sweat look like blood >:)

Add me if you enjoy giving/recieving motivational comments, you're not a robot and if you're not too harsh a judge on cheat days! Getting the motivation to get up and go as well as maintaining the discipline to eat the right kind of foods are my biggest issues with weight loss - the more people I have helping me work…

Thanks all of you. I didn't realise those so called diet teas were just laxatives! I was thinking about giving them a go but will steer clear now and stick to my pomegranate cuppas!

You appreciated my (other discussion) north korea humour!

Beloved pet of my distantly-related three young cousins who live in Australia (I'm from the UK), huge Twitter fan but a bit of a cheep-skate when it comes to bird-days so doubt his acting career is anything more than fledgling!

At my start weight I was 40lbs overweight for my height, does that help? As for diet changes, I've all but stopped eating bread, I've swapped whole milk for skimmed, I've swapped nutella on toast each morning for a measured portion of muesli or 150g of fat free natural yoghurt with a piece of fruit, I have a complan shake…

Oh that makes me feel better! I used to eat back most of my exercise calories (well, in the first week!) but now I'm ignoring them completely because I noticed the app I used for my walking is completely out of kilter with actual calorie burn and after reading through some forums, decided just to count calories burned…

I like the determination in your profile and that you're using your daughter as motivation, you must be a mum to be proud of for your little one. Wishing you all the best!
-
Damn...you got me.
-
Yes - you're very attractive!
-
I wish! History student/budding social or political historian actually but thanks!

I'm trying to avoid the idea of hating myself and my body and start to love it instead by looking after it so that wouldn't be any good for me! Perhaps the reverse - a picture where you think you look good would also work as a more kind motivator...?
-
Thanks, I'll just continue the way I am for now I think unless anyone suggests anything otherwise. I'm hoping it's just beginner's luck or something daft like that and that it's entirely normal and points towards a healthy, determined start rather than a doomed-to-fail sprint!

No - Pretty sure adding someone who's trying to gain weight would eat at my jealousy! :)
