11lbs lost in two weeks - realistic and healthy loss to be pleased about or is something wrong?

I've lost 11lbs in just over two weeks which feels a bit far fetched. I've went from only walking 1.6 mile a day, 4 days a week to that plus jogging 1-2 mile three times a week and yoga on alternate days. I've also strictly ate under or around 1,200 calories a day - does this weight loss seem as far fetched as it feels?
I've been working pretty hard for it but I'm unsure whether to celebrate or not as I've read that it could just be all water weight.
Any thoughts/advice/suggestions?

I would keep an eye on it. If you continue losing at this rate, you should eat more, but more time is needed to know for sure.0

Generally people lose quite a bit of water weight the first few weeks. If it doesnt taper off to 2lb a week or less (anything more is too fast and unhealthy) soon, re-evaluate the calories.
Unless you are very short, 1200calories is likely too low.0 -
Thanks, I'll just continue the way I am for now I think unless anyone suggests anything otherwise.
I'm hoping it's just beginner's luck or something daft like that and that it's entirely normal and points towards a healthy, determined start rather than a doomed-to-fail sprint!0 -

What are your stats? 1200 is quite low especially with exercise on top.0 -
It depends a lot on your current weight and also how you've changed your diet. If you cut out a lot of sodium it could be retained water flushing out. That won't last so ya keep an eye on the next two weeks.0

My guess is water weight I lost in my first weeks 36 pounds. After that it slowed down.
So be happy about it hehe every pound is one.
Something medical no dont think so But i am not a doctor.
Up your calories a bit if it stays that way, and you want a slower loss and maybe hungry
I am on 1200+ too ( for medical reasons) and manich perfectly. At this moment it is a bit more btw
And i always say when you train hard eat back at leas 1/4 of your burned calories or half0 -

It's taken me 6 weeks to lose 11 lbs at 1200 calories and an hour on the treadmill 5 days per week.0 -

I used to eat back most of my exercise calories (well, in the first week!) but now I'm ignoring them completely because I noticed the app I used for my walking is completely out of kilter with actual calorie burn and after reading through some forums, decided just to count calories burned through exercise as weight loss extras!0 -

At my start weight I was 40lbs overweight for my height, does that help?
As for diet changes, I've all but stopped eating bread, I've swapped whole milk for skimmed, I've swapped nutella on toast each morning for a measured portion of muesli or 150g of fat free natural yoghurt with a piece of fruit, I have a complan shake every other day as lunch and I fill up a lot on salads, sugar free jelly, porridge and homemade vegetable soups!
It's taking quite a bit of effort but when I got on the scales two weeks ago for the first time in 4 months it gave me a huge shock at how much weight I'd put on so in a way, I'm too worried about gaining to not make such an effort!
