10 for me. I'm 5'2" Although, it depends if they were fitting in the first place, ;-)

Try eliminating one thing at a time. Sweet drinks for a few day, then stop sweet things for a few day, then stop savory snacks, etc. Everything in one day is difficult to maintain. Or, go straight to your diet plan, but don't limit the quantity for a few days. Get your body used to the new plan. Also, try hot tea or coffee…

The first few days are the hardest! Keep on going! Don't skip a day of logging in your food journal.

Weigh to go! Keep up the good work.

Well, since you asked... I've had to clean out my closet!! I've donated the big clothes to a non-profit. I have to keep shopping for new clothes about every month. Who knew?
-
Congratulations! Get to know the "new" you, you'll like her!

Thanks for posting. I found this interesting. Some of the items are things I noticed, but I didn't want to sound "crazy." For example, walking outside vs walking on the treadmill.

Thanks for sharing. It's little tips like this that we need to hear to keep each other motivated! I haven't run in 30 years. I too have started running on the treadmill. One step at at time. Do it again!

Welcome! We all have the same goal here, to lose weight, be healthy, and support each other. Keeping weight off is a life long journey! Take each day as they come. Read this post from yesterday: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/903831-i-survived-a-dangerous-hostage-situation-this-afternoon Good luck!

During the weight loss phase, I try to maintain a 3:1 ratio of protein to carbs. (while watching the calorie count).

Thanks for sharing! That was great. Now I know that I too can negotiATE with my Hungry Me. I'm happy to hear you survived to live another day.

"Avoid sweating" yep, I'm past that. Takes more time to clean up after sweating. Still waiting for my husband to put my bike together. I guess it will be his project tomorrow. If not, it will be mine. As for new clothes, I've been fishing out of the closet where my old clothes. I'm about out of those too. I visited…

Yes, I too have reached the same frustrating conclusion. I too have started running a LITTLE while out walking. I want to make sure my knees, back, etc. can handle it. I guess we now know why all the runners are out there so long and often... My new bike will be in on Tuesday. I'll give that a try too. Good luck!

You haven't said anything about your diet except for the calories. Someone asked to see your diary, that's the best bet. I have some tips, but I don't know what you are doing now. Increase lean protein and lower carbs. Try for a 3:1 ratio of protein to carbs. At the same time, lower fat content and sodium. Eat carbs…

Congratulations! Your hard work is paying off! Thanks for posting the pictures! Keep up the good work!

Mine is: Reduce carbs and increase lean protein. Also, reading the book, "Younger Next Year for Women" has helped me stay motivated to exercise.
