  • Went ahead and marked today AF. Like I said in last month’s thread, I will do most of September sober except a potential weekend of moderation if my bestie wants to drink on her birthday weekend. If not, then it’ll be a sober September. I might even choose hard liquor if we do drink because I tend to not drink as much of…

  • A-2 AF-29 Well, that was August. I can tell I’m old… woke up this morning and needed a wrist brace from sleeping on my wrist wrong. How the heck does that happen? Anyway, see you in September!
  • @Fursian payback for all the times I’ve gotten drunk or tipsy and was just mean, argumentative, quick tempered, or just annoying. Now that I haven’t been drinking for a month, I starting to see how my actions/reactions have changed. Last night, I was telling him it had been 28 days and I paused (as I was multitasking and…
  • A-2 AF-28 A little irritated with the husband today. He had beers while mowing the lawn, forgot he was supposed to grind meat this afternoon, and we just finished but he also downed a huge glass of sangria while doing it. Then, he started getting pissy with me. He even ate dinner while doing it, and I am just now eating at…
  • A-2 AF-27 FINALLY got 8+ hours of sleep last night. I did wake up to pee at 2:30ish, but I was able to fall back to sleep. I don’t think I’ve had more than 7 hours of sleep in months, and it’s more like 5-6 hours most nights. I think I’m ready for the day! That was a great start to a long weekend! @globalhiker I have to…
  • @globalhiker thank you for the compliment. That hair color is my real color, gray! lol. I made a promise to myself that I would never color my hair again after divorce #1, and I’m sticking to it. Besides, I earned every last one of those damn grays! @itladyee, I just saw @WestCoastGirl_7’s comment about the smoked old…
  • Thanks, @itladyee. The cleaning is ok. At least I’ll burn some calories. This morning my MIL informed my husband she needed a ride to the hospital for a CT scan. He asked why, and that’s when we learned she’s having heart surgery. I still don’t know when or why.🤷🏻‍♀️ Then, while they were at the hospital, she hit someone…
  • Yes, I did get the wolf cut. I washed it this morning, ran my fingers through it, and just let it air dry today instead of blowing it out and round brushing it. It’s not too bad.
  • @itladyee I can’t imagine running code in production instead of the sandbox. That seems far worse than running tests in production. Lucky me, I get to audit production to make sure it’s doing what it’s supposed to do and test the updates to be released to production in the sandbox to confirm they are ready for release. I…
  • A-2 AF-25 I thought I was looking forward to the long weekend coming up. But then I remembered I didn’t clean bathrooms like I should’ve last weekend. So, I’ll be piling that on top of a bunch of other to-dos. I’d like to spend all weekend as a couch potato, but I guess I don’t get that luxury.
  • A-2 AF-24 Tired. Going to be soon.
  • @Womona thanks for the insight. I really am hoping she eventually grows out of this. She really has ZERO femininity most days. Oh well, nothing I can do. She’s got to figure it out on her own. Anyway, work was quiet then I realized I left my work phone in the car! And, I screwed up when running tests in our online system’s…
  • August Start Weight: 199.6 August Goal Weight: 195.6 Ultimate Goal Weight: 147.6 August 4: 199.6 August 11: 195.2 August 18: 197.0 August 25: 193.4 September 1: That’s more like it! I knew it had to be a fluke last week! Still haven’t been able to really exercise. I’d like to incorporate a daily walk into my schedule, but…
  • A-2 AF-22 Weigh-in tomorrow morning. Should be good. 🙏🏻
  • A-2 AF-21 Thanks for the perspective, @WestCoastGirl_7. I know she’s going to be fine. I was never a huge girlie-girl growing up. I’ve always preferred my jeans over dresses, but I wear dresses when appropriate. And, wearing makeup is reserved for date nights, but I still wear it. I was raised with an older and younger…
  • @WestCoastGirl_7 I’m very happy for you that you’ve quit drinking. I know the 2 days probably hasn’t gone by without some struggle, but it definitely sounds like you have found your resolve and are on the way to healing. @Walela617 please take care of yourself. Pancreatic illnesses are no joke! Going to spend time with the…
  • A-2 AF-20 Magic bottle of wine did not appear this week. The magician must have pulled to ultimate magic trick and disappeared. However, the potato chip fairy has taken his place!😡 That is one b i t c h I don’t need in my house! I saw the chips, walked over to my husband and asked, “when did you stop loving me?” He looked…
  • A-2 AF-19 Another day down. It’s been a week of thorough audits, and my eyes and head hurt from staring at computer screens and deciphering numbers for hours on end. I’m ready for the weekend. Although I’m not sure why. I’m not particularly looking forward to cleaning bathrooms. I wish I could hire a maid sometimes.
  • @Womona and @itladyee I just take it as a sign that I shouldn’t have posted it. Maybe it’s God’s way of saying, “Oh, shut up already!” 🤣🤣🤣
  • A-2 AF-18 I typed a whole post, and my app reset. 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • @WestCoastGirl_7 I’m glad you’ve posted, and I’m very sorry to hear about Tinker. You and @globalhiker are absolutely correct, most people probably do need more than 30 or 60 days to dry out and really see the true results of living AF. Due to my current weight loss goals, I may just end up being AF for a year just to make…
  • @RubyRed427 based on her last post that looks like it was deleted/removed, I don’t think surfergirl is coming back. I’ve been waiting to see if she would post, and I’m still hoping she’s lurking and will eventually. But, I guess she was just really upset/frustrated with the wine-o population in the group (I’m including…
  • A-2 AF-15 Feeling a little miffed at myself this morning. I wasn’t very disciplined this past weekend, and I had a gain. I’m not real mad at myself because I know most of my initial loss was water, but I was hoping I could keep that full loss “banked”. Oh well, 1.4 lbs more to lose to meet this month’s goal of a pound a…
  • August Start Weight: 199.6 August Goal Weight: 195.6 Ultimate Goal Weight: 147.6 August 4: 199.6 August 11: 195.2 August 18: 197.0 August 25: September 1: So, not a good weigh-in. I really wasn’t on my best eating behavior over the weekend, no food logging and no movement. Thinking the first week was a lot of water weight…
  • @nbruns83 Powerlifting is one of the little known Special Olympics sports, but it is so much fun to watch them compete! They truly are amazing athletes! No drinking last night at trivia night. My bestie wanted to drink. Unfortunately, we hadn’t replenished the premixed margarita stock. So, we didn’t have the one she…
  • My son will compete again in November. He’s been training with my husband who competes in September. Since powerlifting isn’t seasonal but the Special Olympics team only trains when in school, the competition season is upon us. This year my son is helping to coach since he graduated last year. He’s excited.
  • A-2 AF-13 Went out to eat at MIL’s request to try a new place. It wasn’t good, but she loved it. She loves buffets, and the worse they are the more she likes them. I’m sorry, but I cook too damn good to waste my time and money on crappy food!
