Happy World Coconut Day (2 September) and World Water Monitoring Day (18 September) and International Talk Like a Pirate Day (19 September; Yar!) around the world and National Food Bank Day (first Friday in September), at least in the Estados Unidos.
@enlightenme3Β is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge again.
π Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. π
I joined MFP in February 2018. I had been trying on and off to lose some extra weight. MFP gave me the tools I needed to lose 30 pounds, and I have tried to keep it off since then. I've mostly been successful, but there for sure have been times when I slid back. Only continued vigilance will work to be successful, and fortunately that's possible! It can be nice to have short- and medium-term goal to break down a larger goal into more manageable chunks. So a monthly challenge with a weekly check-in is GREAT. I've been contributing to this challenge for several years, and withΒ @enlightenme3Β temporarily away, I'll try to keep it running.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπ. I'm setting this month up for Saturday check-in. Do what works best forΒ YOU!

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:Β When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.
Itβs not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!π

Jumping in this group for September. I see lots of familiar names and faces for those I havenβt met, Iβm Charissa. Iβve been around MFP since 2011 but didnβt really engage in the groups until 2023.
I turn 65 in November. My latest vacation has put me over my highest weight and Iβm a bit annoyed at myself. But, thatβs life!Looking to get that downward trend!!!

October 4:Total loss for September: Well, since it's still August, I haven't really started yet. Optimism remains for success... we shall see. I'm down 1.8 pounds for the year. Not great, but I'm still in a healthy weight range even if it's higher than I want.

Hello everyone!
I have not done this challenge before but happy to be here and give it a go! Been on MFP since 2017. Had lost about 53 lbs over the years but put on 22 lbs. the last 2 years due to trouble with both shoulders. I want to lose that and get the scale back down. I was 270 at my heaviest in late 30's and was 220 lbs. 2 years ago at 61 yrs! Maybe this will help keep me focused and move the scale! My motto is "Never Give Up!"

The goal is to lose a minimum of 1 lb per week to get into my never been worn wedding dress for our 20th anniversary vow renewal.
A side goal is to lose 2lbs a week until December when I have to go to the corporate office for our semi-annual review. I only see my colleagues twice a year, and theyβve never seen me less than my original weight.
