I don't, as calorie counts are inherently not exact anyway, but I do account for approximate serving sizes. Let's say I eat a 250 g can of soup for lunch, and it says serving size is 110 g, servings per container are "approximately 2". I will use the correct multiplier to get the right amount for the entire can. I do buy…

I also prefer Enlightened over Halo Top, just tried Chilly Cow for the first time though and it was pretty good also.

Feel free to add me! 49F, working on losing 2 lbs. a week all year long. Current goal weight set at 200 but once I get there I hope to go lower. https://www.myfitnesspal.com/user/Mistizoom/profile/Mistizoom

It's a trend! My high weight was 327, I started MFP at 300 in November 2012, got down to 199 and maintained at 205-210 for several years. Health issue ensued...back up to 293 in November 2018, ugh! Losing again and down to 275 this morning. Let's do this journey together in 2019. Feel free to add me,…

I'm currently loving several Trader Joe's frozen meals including the butter chicken with rice and beef shepherd's pie.

So basically my son is screwed. But I already knew that. ☹️

I would recommend reading "Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution". He also has as related book, "The Diabetes Diet" (by Richard K. Bernstein).

I poured a bowl of granola tonight in the amount I wanted to eat and it was over 600 calories without milk. Poured it back in the bag and has something else instead.

I think the previous poster should have said to see a Registered Dietician which is not the same as a nutritionist, though the terms tend to be used interchangeably.

You don't have to learn to take it. You need to tell her that your weight is no longer open for discussion with her. Period, end of story. I did this with my mother when I was about 25 (and almost 25 years ago!) and it has been very freeing. And sometimes I do talk about my weight with her now, and the discussions are much…

The progress pic is great, but why are you eating 120 g protein? For the vast majority of women 5'3", 75-80 g/day is plenty.

Just add more salt. Broth is just one way to get it. Bone broth is optional and I'm not personally convinced the benefits always outweigh the possible detriments.

Seriously? There are documented cases of mercury poisoning in people who have eaten certain types of fish too frequently. It certainly is something a person labeling themselves as a pescatarian should thoroughly research.

I'm not in maintenance but I was maintaining 95 lb. loss for two years (recently gained a bit over the holidays due to low carb overeating, losing now again on strict keto LCHF). I think the a plan for maintenance needs to account for how carb sensitive you are. If, for example, you tend towards insulin-resistance and have…

That's great! DH's diabetes diagnosis is what got us both started on low carb 3 years ago. His doc says he has reversed his diabetes and she is amazed by his A1C. Hope your DH sticks with it and sees similar results.

Feel free to add me. I am getting back to logging again starting today.

Good to know! I love Indian food but might have to give Thai a whirl more often. I stuck to the fried chicken wings the last time I had Thai so it is good to know I can branch out.

Get back to strict keto Log every day Hit my calorie and macro goals as closely as possible each day No snacking after supper

The simple solution is to cut the fat a bit if you want to increase protein and keep calories and carbs the same.

Around 1400 during weight loss mode.

I've already gained weight between Labor Day and Halloween. So I have started tracking again, that should help me to get off the 10 lbs. have gained since mid-August by hopefully Thanksgiving, and a few more hopefully by New Year's. I always eat low carb but snacking at night is my main problem. Tracking keeps me…

Coconut sugar, yes, it is sugar and should be counted. The only sweetener I subtract is erythritol.

My son (age 12.5) started eating low carb a few weeks ago. He made the decision himself and has done very well as he has seen DH and I eat this way for 2.5 years. DH makes his lunches and he takes things like deli meats, low carb chili, hot dogs in a thermos, carrots and ranch dip (in individual tubs), beef sticks, cheese…

I've been meaning to make this forever. Thanks for the tips on improving it.

I do occasionally. Some people might not find that "keto" enough, but I can fit them in to my eating plan. Plus they contain gluten. I have been tested and don't have a gluten allergy and have noticed no ill effects from consuming it.
