On some treadmills you can adjust the deck so that it is a bit softer.

I pick a series, currently it's House, and only allow myself to watch an episode while I'm on the treadmill or elliptical.

I'm also 5', current weight is 115. My goal is 103 to 105. Like you, I can feel even just a couple of pounds. My "happy" weight is 100 but my body does not like that weight. I've decided the sacrifices/work to get and stay there are not worth it to me.

Can you run on a softer surface - shoulder of the road or a trail, may help until your body gets more accustomed. Also try eating a banana after your run, the potassium helps with muscle soreness.
