  • Moomins! I loved the moomins when I was little...and now :-) I also loved X-men
  • My lovely little sister is Meredith. She loves her name and that it is fairly unique in the UK ETA the quote
  • You look beautiful :flowerforyou: well done, your hard work obviously paid off xXx
  • Aww, bless you. We have all (or at least most of us on here) been there and can sympathise. Try to be nicer to yourself and if you make a mistake - as I do regularly - just start again from that same moment. Don't punish or starve or belittle, just brush it off and say 'I'm still closer than I was last week' Wishing you…
  • I just finished reading: The Left Hand Of God by Paul Hoffman - loved it! Currently reading: The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat by Oliver Sacks - book about individual neurological issues and the funny and sad ways they altered people's lives. The Hapiness Project by Gretchen Rubin - everyone should try and be happier…
  • ^^^^^^ this! I am 5' 3" and I have lost 29.6lbs. I have days where I feel smaller, and days where I feel BIGGER than when I was 'obese', seeing before and current pictures help a lot. You will get there though, it just takes time for you mentally to catch up with the progress you have made physically. Good luck!
  • Hi there, I'm 5' 3.5", 27 years old and started on here properly in March 2013 at 177.4lbs. This morning I weighed 148.4lbs so 29lbs less I usually aim for around 1450 calories each day but I'm never fussed if I'm up to 100 under, or (more likely) 100 over :-) I also have higher calorie days where I eat what I want, just…
  • HOT chilli con carne in wholemeal chapatti with sour cream, grated cheese and toasted pine nuts (and salad of course)
  • Hahahah, I LOVE this!
  • ^^^^ this! I had forgotten about grass! I can't stand on grass barefoot and I hate it touching my feet or legs (even as a toddler I wouldn't walk on it)
  • Weird things: Daddy-longlegs...I wake up if I hear them, I will stand in the pouring rain instead of standing in the bus stop if there is one in there, it is a phobia! Sprouting potatoes...I cannot touch them. They look freaky but so long as I don't have to touch them I am fine
  • That looks awesome! My dad would probably love it, and that is a compliment as he is way fitter than me and a massive bike enthusiast including recumbent bikes and carbon bikes within his collection. Are they expensive? How easy are they to use too?
  • This is Loki, our little (okay, not so little) God of mischief He is not quite two years old but already pretty big...he is curled on an a LARGE Dominos pizza box in the picture above. He loves to do backflips 4 feet in the air and is a massive wuss...he brought us a worm the other day then nearly gave himself concussion…
  • I was starting to feel outraged and defensive and shocked for you...then I realised what you were getting at. Great post! Xx
  • If I go out for a while then I will sing to the cat when I come back (theme tune to New Girl) and then we miaow at each other for a few minutes I only eat green M&Ms or smarties because when I was little they used to be white chocolate aliens I do the housework in my underwear because I hate being hot and sticky LISTS...I…
  • Courgette/zucchini, red onion and carrot 'quiche' - this is actually an oven baked omelette! Grate 3 medium sized carrots into a large Pyrex dish. Cut the courgette/zucchini into 3 pieces then use a mandolin on the firm and outer parts of the courgette/zucchini. Finely chop one red onion. Place all items into the Pyrex…
  • Apparently I chose 5 sizes larger than I am...but most of my weight is in my tummy so it's hard to tell with the forward facing figures they use. They said I was a 'perfect pear' but the reason my 'hips' are so big is because my tummy is included in the measurement  interesting though!
  • Gorgeous curves girl :-) great work! :flowerforyou:
  • I really don't seem to have a physical type that I go for. I have dated tall men, short men (I'm 5'4 and one guy was shorter than me), older, younger, tiny skinny, big, really hairy (aka sticking out from his shirt collar hairy), bald, long hair...the list goes on - please note some of these are the same guy: hairy man was…
  • It really doesn't matter. Whatever works for you! Some people weigh in once a week or less, some (myself included) weigh-in every day. Good luck!
  • Do you eat Quorn/soya/tofu or just veggies, fruits, grains, seeds and nuts?
  • My daughter (7) her favourite snack at the moment is courgette/zucchini slices (1cm deep) topped with Garlic Philadelphia (ETA it's a soft cheese), golden sultanas/currants and pine nuts...they are really moreish!
  • I went the other way: I was vegetarian but not any longer. Here are some of my favourites though: Spicy tomato and lentil soup - 1 onion, sautéed with chilli and garlic. Add two cartons/cans of chopped tomatoes, 50-100g of red lentils and 1 pint of stock (I use liquid chicken stock now but original recipe was with…
  • Your waist is amazing! Well done :-) xXx
  • I had the same response at first. Now I eat it with baked chicken and chilli flakes on and it's fine. I also used to add a little bit of Franks hot wings sauce to make it feel like more of a condiment
  • 1. I don't follow any sport unless I can be there in person: I love our Ice Hockey team and the fans are amazing! 2. I don't work...or I should say I dont work for money, but I am studying for my degree (in Mathematics), I am a school governor, I teach 5-10 year old children First Aid and I am the treasurer for a local…
  • That's horrible! My daughter is only 7 but she has a minimum of 2 hours P.E. per week, two break times every day, 1 hour of music every week, and after school activities which can include cheerleading, football, dance, gymnastic etc provided by the school. They are kids, they should be playing and running around and being…
  • I think this is a great idea. My daughter is 7 and in her school (UK ages 4-7) they allow no 'junk' food, no fizzy drinks and will confiscate any food that isn't allowed. Parents are aware of this before they start school. Also, during their break time a big bucket of fruit/veg is delivered and the children get to pick…
  • I usually take my own food and drink: - bottle of water - coronation chicken, red onion, cress and red bell pepper sandwich/bap/roll/wrap - dark chocolate cherry protein bar I usually eat only one thing so it depends on if I want sweet or savoury
