  • Congrats! It normally takes me losing around 20 lbs before I can see a difference. It's frustrating at first but once you see the progress you will be very pleased!
  • If I don't get enough water I get headaches. You may try changing your goal to lose 1 lb a week and if you exercise you don't have to worry about eating back those calories. Mine was at 1200 for 2 lbs a week. At 1 lb a week it was 1340. I seem to do better at the 1340 when I exercise. By the end of the day I am close to…
  • I lost 12.6 the first month 7.4 the second then it went to about 6 lbs a month after that. You first month is your best...6 lbs a month is still quite a lot. I would not want to lose more than that per month. Hang in there and it will come off. At 4 months I had lost 34lbs. Still have about 30 more to go.
  • Are you drinking enough water? After exercise is subtracted how many calories are you taking in on a daily basis? You could not be eating enough. If you have not already done so take a before picture and then take pictures 1x a month. You will see a difference. Are your clothes fitting any looser?
  • You have done awesome
  • 5'5" 140-145 lbs
  • Good luck on your weight loss journey. You can do anything you set your mind to. I live in McMinnville...not too far from you.
  • I am pretty much doing the same thing you are. I have lost at a steady rate...so yes you can do it. You just have to stick with it. Don't have too many cheat days. As you get stronger up your exercise and change it up. Don't do the same thing over and over. You can lose 7 lbs a month if you keep up the good work.
  • You can defiantly see a difference. Good Job.:drinker:
  • Not being able to find clothes that I actually liked!
  • Thanks guys. Finally starting to see the results myself....I am going to link a new pic with side views on both.
  • I work 7am-4pm and I exercise as soon as I get home. I tried working out in the morning about a year ago and I gave up. I would get so tired around 1 pm. Doing it after work gives me a energy boost and I still have about 5 hrs before bedtime to settle down. You have to do what works for you.
  • I have taken it for 2 1/2 months and I have lost 23 lbs. It helps with the cravings but to be honest some of the girls at work are just using MFP and are having great results. Husband lost over 55lbs on the Adipex. It works for the cravings. Neither one of us has had any side affects.
  • Those things just do not look right. I would not get anything accomplished for all the dirty jokes that would stem from these things.
  • Feel free to add me as a friend. 80lbs lost is great!
  • I have a elliptical and my husband and I both have experienced this. It happens but I am not sure what causes it.
  • Nothing you can do really. You can't exercise to lose in certain spots. In all honesty your belly will probably be the last to go. Normally happens that way but everyone is different.
  • You will lose weight without exercise eating 1200 calories. But, You will lose 2x the weight if you exercise. I lose double if I exercise 3/4 times a week.
  • I had mine removed 10 years ago. No fried foods, spicy foods, fast food. No pasta. I have struggled with losing weight since it was removed. Finally getting somewhere now. You will just have to try it and see what bothers you. Keep a list of foods that bother your stomach and you will learn what is going to cause you…
  • My husband has lost 45 lbs in 4 months. He has 1 day a week where he eats whatever he wants. And he eats ALOT on those days. He has not had any issues. He has lost 12 lbs each month for the past 4 months. Has not affected him. I on the other hand am too scared to try it this way. I stay as strict as possible but if I wants…
  • Get a Heart Rate monitor. You can get one at WalmMart for like $30. It is going to be the most accurate. As far as the workout goes don't try to kill yourself on that thing. You won't last 5 minutes if you try to do too much. Start out slow and stay on it as long as you can. I'd rather have less resistance but be able to…
  • I need to lose about 70lbs total. Feel free to add me.
  • I have been bad this week also. Getting back on track today though. I only exercised 1x this week and I was working out 4x a week. I have not lost any weight this week and I feel like a complete failure! I will get back to it though
  • Before I got the HRM I would take the calories my Elliptical was saying I burned and then add the calories MFP said and get the average of the two numbers. I used that average. That way I was in the middle. The Elliptical was actually more accurate.
  • My husband lost 25 lbs before I could see a huge difference. He has lost 35 lbs now and looks like a totally different person. Give it time.
  • I log my weight on Saturdays also.I started the diet on a Saturday so I have stuck to that.
  • Thanks for your input guys. I am set at 1500 cals a day now for 1 lb loss a week. I normally am around 300 under with no exercise so I was just wondering which would be better. On the days I exercise I try to get closer to the 1500 so that I don't go under 1200 cals for the day.
  • Try eating Chicken when you go out rather than beef. Avoid sour cream, butter, etc. Also, only eat half of your food. Bring the rest home for lunch the next day. My husband likes to eat out also.
  • Thanks newfiedan. That makes sense. I want to lose but was worried about eating too much/not eating enough. Your suggestion should put me in the middle so I should be fine. Thanks to everyone else also. Your tips are greatly appreciated. I am eating a lot of nuts and fruit lately. I normally will eat a pack of Planters…
