Good morning! Though I've had an overall goal, I finally set some timeline goals. I'm needing to lose about 7 lbs a month, which is reasonable, and in the 6 weeks that my new lifestyle has really been in effect, I've lost 7 lbs, so I'm content with that. I eat a lot of fresg fruits, veggies, proteins such as tuna and chicken breast, Lean Cuisines, and I also allow myself to have a splurge now and again (mostly on the weekends, which I'm trying to control better!). I try to eat 2-3 times a day and track everything with MFP. I exercise about 3 times a week, which I'm about to bump up to 4-5 days a week. I do as much cardio as I can which is anywhere between 15-30 minutes (I've gotten really out of shape, so I don't focus on how long I can go, more with how hard I'm working and work to the point I feel I can't go) and I also lift weights (strength training). I'm changing my lifestyle to better myself, but I'm also using the fact that I'm getting married in October 2012 as a motivator. Since I'm needing to lose about 7 lbs a month, do you think these behaviors will enable that amount of weight loss in the given time? Are there any tips you can think of to help me accelerate my weight loss, while keeping it a lifestyle and not a crash diet? I don't want a quick weight loss solution (though it'd be nice), just tips to help set my weight loss journey on fire. Thanks, everyone!

I am pretty much doing the same thing you are. I have lost at a steady rate...so yes you can do it. You just have to stick with it. Don't have too many cheat days. As you get stronger up your exercise and change it up. Don't do the same thing over and over. You can lose 7 lbs a month if you keep up the good work.

You should eat a little something every 3 hours to keep your metabolism efficient.

    Oops! I put that I eat 2-3 times a day....I meant every 2-3 hours.

    Thanks for the support!
