Drink plenty of water, eat beforehand, and don't overdo it. If you get dizzy as soon as you start exercising, I'd go see a doctor about that. It might be something more serious. I do both. I've lost weight in the past and it seemed to work for me. First, start off with 30-60 minutes of some type of cardio. Then do 30 minutes of strength. I'm doing the same thing... starting right before all the cookies and ham and all the good food comes out!!! My family is italian so all the good lasagna and meatballs and everything is coming out. Ugh!!! I'm crazy for starting now. But I can do it!

According to the BMI, 120-160 is the perfect weight for someone that is 5'7 so my goal is 160 at least
