  • I know this feeling all too well...and I'm struggling a lot. Not pessimistic though and working with my therapist. It's so hard. Especially after that initial weight gain after starting recovery (whether it be inpatient or outpatient). I have a great support system (my best friend and boyfriend) but sometimes even they…
  • I'm on a similar boat, and don't have the best advice. Are you seeing a therapist and/or nutritionist? That helps me. Just remember skipping meals almost ALWAYS leads to binges. So bring some nuts! Almonds and macadamia nuts are a great choice. And numbers are nothing- it's about how your clothes fit and how you feel.
  • Hello! I just found out I have PCOS 7 months ago, so everyone here is probably wiser than me. Welcome to the club though
  • I started a certain diet and started restricting more and more which led to a lot of old bad habits. I'm trying to fix it. Like the above poster said, just remind/force yourself to snack. My therapist recommends cellphone alarms.
  • Thanks so much for your response! I'll give her a call this afternoon!
  • Yeah my testosterone level was CRAZY high when I got tested...ugh. And if birth control and weight loss doesn't work I think I will try laser removal or something similar too.
  • Level makes these really good low-carb protein shakes. But for meal-type foods, I agree with making it the night before.
  • Try Ruled.Me's pizza fat bomb recipe. It's so good.
  • Well when I was a kid, Rollercoaster Tycoon was the *kitten*. Then when I had enough money to buy a gameboy, I got Pokemon Red, Zelda: Links Awakening, and Bionic Commando. Those were my faves.
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS a week ago. Like Dragonwolf said- it CAN be controlled without surgery/medication. It just takes diet changes. My doctor, research and nutritionist have all said low-carb is the best option for PCOS. Taking out carbs, means more fat...etc. The only thing I would definitely get a second opinion on…
  • My mom was like that when I was a teenager...and it led to an eating disorder. It always hurts the most when the people that are supposed to nurture us end up hurting us. But like other posters have said- its hard, but try and tone it out. You are making progress, changes and that's what counts. Hang in there, and feel…

  • OH MY GOD (if you love savory) I just tried the best fat bomb recipe the other day and it's so good. Needs refrigeration but if you have a cooler you should be fine. http://www.ruled.me/savory-pizza-fat-bombs/ PS: Ruled.me is like my bible.
  • Good to know!! I felt like I was doing something wrong, haha.
  • When I was a teenager, I'd mix butter with brown sugar and eat it.
  • I second the junk being convenient..and cheap. You can do this!
  • To piggy back off this post rather than make my own for a similar topic- I am having trouble myself getting enough fat (my goal is 93g a day) with keeping my protein macro in check. Today I logged 30g over my goal for protein. It's hard when all my snacky foods are protein based!
  • I second this...While it's one thing to have it brought up by family/friends it might be awkward for an acquaintance? I saw a girl from high school about a month ago who looked like she lost 40+ lbs but I didn't want to say anything. You never know what nerve you could potentially hit.
  • Omg Ang, you look so good! Great job!
  • I need to add people. I have no friends on here and definitely need the support this time around. I'll binge add people!
  • Kale dip! It's like spinach dip but with yogurt and kale instead! Or kale salads! My favorite kale salad has blue cheese, nuts, craisens, chicken and vinaigrette! Of course if you're tired of kale, you could send some to me ;)
  • Okay thank you for (most) of the responses. To answer a few questions- YES I have blood work done about four times a year. I had some taken that day and still haven't gotten a call saying I'm dying so hopes are high. And the most recent comments are correct... There is no medical way to diagnose PCOS fully. Most doctors…
  • I saw this little blurb on my 'Home' screen and just wanted to say WOW and congratulations! I wish the best to you and your new baby :)
