For cravings I keep a HUGE bowl of fruit ready to eat in the fridge. Its full of melons and all of our favorite fruit. It has seemed to help so far. As far as working out...i keep looking a before and after photos of MFP peeps. So motivating! Keep pushing!

I am so sorry to hear about your health problems, I know it can be hard. Are you drinking enough water? It seems like the 3.9 is pretty significant for what you are eating. Just do what the dr.'s say and dont push it. Good Luck!

Agree! Plus a common goal that we all share helps!

Are you having a hard time getting certain nutrients in? Maybe add some hummus or peanut butter with veggies and fruit?

I agree! I used to have a bowl of ice cream every night. At the beginning of this lifestyle change I even tried telling myself that eating a bowl of reduced fat ice cream was okay, I was still losing weight but barely. I gave up sweet/sugar for lent but still having the cravings at night. So I save up my calories and I…

Same here. It was an ocassional bad food but mostly portion control. This site really helps if you log everything you eat. That was the turning point for me. I thought I was doing okay because it was all decently healthy, but after logging it was tons of calories! You can do it!

I had the same problem a couple of weeks in. I think you get on this "healthy eating band wagon" and it seems to easy at first. Then a couple of weeks in those darn cravings return! Drink lots of water and stay busy. Anything to take your thoughts away from the food. Just keep up with MFP while you are vacationing. It is…

I have a spur on my L4. About a year ago I was in pain 24/7. I hade PT and cortizone shots...nothing was helping. I knew I needed to keep strengthening my core in order to get stronger. The only way was through PT, walking and keeping at it. Start out easy. If it starts to hurt lay off. Have you got to PT at all for it? I…

You look great! Congrats!

I have a similar problem, but not in the middle of the night. Its more right before bed! A trick I used before my wedding (and should go back to)....right after dinner brush your teeth and use a teeth whitening strip (haha!) I know it sounds silly, but this was before my wedding. But it worked for me!!!

I think weight loss does increase your chances. Just keep at it and have fun trying!

Hey there! I was a new mom 11 months ago ;) It will come off. Just watch what you are eating and slowly start working out. If you had a C section (like I did) do not do anything until you get cleared by your doc. I finally just got down to my pre pregnancy weight. You can do it, just keep at it!!!

How sweet! My 10th month old took his first steps as I was running on the tredmill. He looked at me...then daddy and took two steps towards him. It was as if he wanted to do it too! They are so precious!!

Snap off the ends, put them on a cookie sheet with seasonings (I use spray butter first, then garlic, pepper and cajun seasoning). Cook for 10-15 in the oven at 400. Thats what I do....but there are lots of great ideas already posted!
