Congrats!!

Being female, I really do have small hands. Short Stubby fingers. Have you tried gloves?
-
Sure. Why do you think time of day matters?
-
When I started deadlifts I used the pre-weighted ez curl bars. It also saved me from having to wait on a rack.
-
That's correct, no deficit.

There has been some research into the efficacy of cinnamon for some conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol, but at this point it does not seem to be conclusive. Here's a link: https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/cinnamon-and-benefits-for-diabetes

On weekdays I go to the gym in the afternoons. Some days I can feel myself sagging and getting sleepy in the afternoon. The first thought is to blow off the gym that day. So I have a cup of coffee. Unless I am genuinely tired, it really helps.

Tongue in cheek doesn't come across in the written word, does it? I don't have unrealistic expectations. I first started lifting in about 1989. It went by the wayside when I was hurt in a bike wreck in 2012, then subsequent illness.
-
Yesterday I was scheduled to lift, but was a bit tired and almost blew it off. I had a cup of coffee and felt much perkier. Over the last 2-3 months I have also been making a concerted effort to go to bed earlier. Eight hours of sleep every night helps everything, not just my workout.

Uh, OK. I'm not looking to eat more or fewer so I'm not sure why you posted this.

My TDEE is 1789 which accounts for some exercise. MFP gives me 1410 which is sedentary and exercise is logged and added. I got my TDEE using a spreadsheet which I believe I got from the recomp thread. It averages several methods of figuring.

I thought I would report in on my one month date. Weight wise things are going well. My goal was 125 and I have stayed in the acceptable range, weigh-ins within one pound one side or the other. Recomp is agonizingly slow, of course. I'm doing a full body strength training 3x a week, adding in more weight and occasionally…

This aggravates me. When I can't be sure if someone is between sets or failed to re-rack.
-
Who recommended this?
-
I don't count carbohydrates at all. Never paid any attention whatsoever.
-
You also expect everything you ate on Saturday to have cleared your system by Monday. That is not the case.

I would have a chat with my gyn. At your age it could be you are menopausal. Although my experience is different from yours, I had a hysterectomy when I was about 43. I had one flash the evening after my surgery and never another. I quit with hormones, weaning myself very gradually about two years later. No symptoms.

Thanks again!
-
Just be glad you don't have to get up twice a night to pee!
-
Aw, just a chance to kvetch. Thanks though.
-
Thanks all. That is Bella B. McCatterson. Best looking avatar on the board.

At 5'4", 1500 does not sound that low unless you are very active. Perhaps it is more what you are eating than your caloric intake. If your food choices aren't satisfying then you feel deprived.
-
I've noticed that when I have muscle soreness in my upper back or shoulders it seems to creep up and give me a headache.
-
These days I've noticed that everybody is wearing earphones which cut down on the chat opportunities between sets. I rarely go in the mornings, but when I do those folks are more social.

& yet another thread hijacked.

Cushy saddles are the worst! They envelope her girly bits and they never get to harden up. Maybe find a decent, used hybrid bike on CL or similar, but something that can be adjusted or modified for fit.
-
Yep, I first heard about it when I was cycling longer distances.
-
You took more time to look it up than I did.

That's a big difference! :)
